I haven't played with the snapshots so I haven't played with Ender Chests at all, but not being able to break Ender Chests without losing an Eye of Ender sounds like a very negative change. I don't get the point?? This means I have to think very very carefully about where to place it. I guess that's the point, but still, what if I decide to modify the room it's in, for example? I dunno...I mean what's so bad about being able to carry an Ender Chest with you and use it whenever you want? If I was carrying it on me I would still be really paranoid about dying and losing it.
im not sure what you mean by this.....how will things become outdated? the servers run the latest releases and mod are made for the latest versions, they can't update any further then the current release so nothing will become outdated.
i understand that you are wanting 1.3 to come out and i also want it to be released soon but nothing is being effected by it not coming out, the guys at Mojang just want it to be as bug free as possible before rolling it out.

Also, glad that the Ender Chests inventories are different per player, so people can't wait at your house to steal your diamonds. Now Ender Chests are a decent way of saving your loot if you die!
I'm seeing a lot of moaning in the comments here. I'm just to happy about LAN to care. You mean to tell me I can smack my friend upside the head when he tries to grief me? And I don't have to set up my own goddamn server? I'm positively giddy.
Do Not Want. The guys on my server have the ender chests set up so that they have minecarts at each of the minecart stations, so that they're always is a minecart.
Anyone notice that all npc's since 2 snapshots ago seem to sink INTO the ground? I turned the corner in my village the other day and saw two villagers head poping out of the ground. They just sank into the ground... I sat there saying WTF?! and then one just pops out of the ground and walks away while the other turned to look at me still in the ground.
I see cows do it too. Surprised the crap out of me when a chicken poped up out of the ground. I kept hearing the damn thing and was serching for it. I had one and wanted another so I could have a chicken farm.
It doesn't happen all the time time but, I can see it at least once every 30 mins or so. They can be just walking around and then sink into the ground for a bit while walking then pop out.
/publish doesn't work. Cheats enabled. In root folder also server folder with minecraft_server if what... I even made bat launcher and launched server (don't know why :P) and nowhere /publish doesn't want to work. it says Unknown command blah-blah...
-Fixed bug when Minecraft doesn't save your progress, stops generating chunks and freezes all the mobs.
-Fixed buckets not picking up or placing water within the spawn protection
Fixed finally... Those 2 bugs annoyed me very much. VERY MUCH!!! No wonder I couldn't pick up water and lava in survival maps. But still, nice snapshot.

The Ender Chest has been changed to have an inventory per player and not per world. Also, knocking down the chest will break it into 8 obsidian, unless you have Silk Touch.
This may or may not be a good thing, as (if it works like I think it would) this means you can transport stuff across worlds with it.

also, is it still possible to break the enderchest with any pickaxe? If so, I have a stone pickaxe with silk touch :3
