I have some suggestions for the next snapshot:
-stackable potions (16 per slot should do it)
-apple seeds: You can craft apples into four seeds and then, like cocoa plants, you can plant them on trees where you can grow more apples. From there, picking the apple will drop more seeds along with the fruit.
Are you stupid? If you don't know how to do just don't do it simple as that.
Here is how you do it. First of all. Open the zipped folder. Next, copy the .JAR file that is in there. Then open run and type %APPDATA%. Then double click .minecraft. Open the bin folder. And delete the old minecraft.jar. There you have installed it!
Why does hosting a server require port forwarding when playing on one does not? I don't quite understand, both require upload and download of data? I really just want to be able to play a game of minecraft with my friend but my dad gets all stressy when I mention port forwarding the router thinking I'm going to blow it up...

you dont have to unzip the snapshot stuff you could just rename it from minecraft to minecraft.jar(snapshot) and replace the minecraft.jar(original) from the bin.

Can anyone help me with this? I downloaded this week snapshot and when I start to play and pause and then go back to game the world stops creating chunks and all the mobs are frozen also when i break a block i don't get it,if anyone of you don't have this problem please tell me how to fix it or upload your minecraft.jar,thanks
ok wht the hell is up with it not being compatible with modloader.
Modloader depends heavily on the MCP Team's work, snapshots like this are not given priority as they are often superseded by new snapshots (requiring a whole new de-compile for Modloaders information) in a very short time. Do give it some time though they (the MCP Team) may surprise us yet.
i think that the owner of the world should be able to use a command to enable and disable cheats for a specific player (/cheats [on/off] [player].
also they should implement a white-list feature so only friends can join your world.
i also think that the owner of the world should be able to turn off multiplayer with a command [/mp off]
( i think anyone of your friends should be able to join no matter what LAN network they are on. (most of my friends don't live close enough to use my Wi-Fi)
Lastly, they should enable plugins on SP servers. it would make the game more fun.
if anyone from mojang sees this post, please consider my ideas.

Hey can't believe no one has mentioned this yet, but what happens with /publish if you have mods active in your world that add new blocks or mechanics? Does the person joining see these blocks, or will it not let them connect?
i think mojang should make minecraft open source again so modders like me don't have to decompile the actual source code and risk messing up the game files. Mojang should also contact the people who make modloader and make the official modding API cross compatible with modloader because mods mods that use modloader will have to have a major overhaul to make them compatible with the official modding API. If they are not comptible i will have to learn to use the new API and throw away a lot of the script for my mod.

I feel they are really taking away from the ender chests, now I can't set up a postal service type rig in my multiplayer server. I also think they should just drop the chest again...

edit: ok nevermind, it just hit me. this is for 1.3 and modloader is only for 1.2.5. forget i said anything.
