The enderchests not dropping an enderchest when broken makes it balanced.
Altough I'd like to have a different kind of chest that works how enderchests did previously for single player, considering I don't play multi, at all.
And I still can't play the game on account of it bugging up and not letting blocks drop when broken and not letting me interact with blocks like chests or furnaces.

Edit: Who CARES when 1.3 comes out?!?!? Don't you impatient pricks have other things to do besides Minecraft?? At least you can PLAY the game, I can't even get that.
We're obviously getting VERY close if this one is mainly just small tweaks and bug fixes.
I had this same thought, but if Mojang is moving to a new office and there have been a whole bunch of other distractions, productivity could likely be shot to hell as well.
I'm not sure what I think of the change to the Ender chest. I hate the thing in the first place, where particularly for multiplayer servers it will be a major pain in the ass for some situations and really nerfs economic concepts in terms of logistics, but I don't think my bitching about it will make much of a difference. For Single player situations, the Ender Chest really is just an expansion of your backpack. I'd rather have the ability to make another kind of backpack (out of leather, iron, gold, etc.) that would allow you to hold more items. From that perspective, having the Ender chest breakup into pieces as you try to remove the thing is more "meh?" Whatever... I may use the chest in future situations or I may not.

Why did he only choose to do a LAN network style server, why not a World Wide server network?
I like the idea of LAN network style server. I have 3 people in my house that play the game and it'd be a lot easier to host something like this instead of having to create a whole new, outward facing server just for my family to play on.
I can't access any items in my ender chest when I got the snapshot. I had all my enchanted stuff in there. SOMEONE HELP ME!
Snapshots are not for playing minecraft, your items wont be there because certain variables have changed in the coding, you should now have learned that snapshots are for Previewing the game ONLY. Don't play minecraft on a snapshot, unless you are testing the game.
Please change the enderchest back!
its really overpowered in pvp servers and not handy when you want to use it for quick transport in a friend hosted server!
Minecraft's Singleplayer mode and Multiplayer mode are being merged, so that mods are compatible with both singleplayer and multiplayer, instead of just the normal singleplayer mode. I beleive this is preparation for the official Modding API that is possibly (Probobly not) coming out in 1.3, otherwise it will be for 1.4 or 1.5.
Probably getting close to the 1.3 release if this snapshot mostly deals with bug fixes and tweaks. 1,3 is already a splendid package, I would take its feature set already as it is. I'd be happy if Jeb released it sooner and didn't bother adding any more content since 1.3 is plenty hefty.
YES! /publish!! YES!!! And I like the feature of only being able to see your stuff in the ender chest. Though not the fact when you break it, you get obsidean. it's not the best idea. But what ever.
I like all this stuff, but where's 1.3? It's been almost 2 1/2 months since 1.2.5 was released. I understand that Jeb wants everything working well, but they need to hurry up for the sake of large servers and other things being outdated.
The Ender Chest has been changed to have an inventory per player and not per world.
Aw, but I liked the idea of being able to use Ender Chests like mailboxes...
Why not have it be capable of doing both? It obviously stores items in Enderspace, so it could easily have the capacity of a large chest while being the size of a small chest. Then you could divide that large storage space in half, giving you 27 personal inventory slots and 27 world inventory slots.

Im not sure, i think you can only do this with people on your own LAN connection. Servers REQUIRE port-forwarding or hosting.
when i download it it goes into a zip folder what should i do plsssssssssssssssss help me
Are you stupid? If you don't know how to do just don't do it simple as that.
Here is how you do it. First of all. Open the zipped folder. Next, copy the .JAR file that is in there. Then open run and type %APPDATA%. Then double click .minecraft. Open the bin folder. And delete the old minecraft.jar. There you have installed it!
