idk if this is a bug but in SMP (havent tried SSP) it seems that when you break an item like a pickaxe it doesn't vanish from your inventory, it stays but with no durability and breaks in after just 1 or 2 blocks and if you break it a couple more times it actually does disappear. Not sure if it was intentional or not but this gives you a chance to repair the item if its important, say for instance your pickaxe has multiple level 3 enchantments and you dont want to lose it you get a chance to repair it. nevermind, i forgot enchantments are lost when you repair items. EITHER WAY lol you get a chance to fix it.
You don't have to uninstall then reinstall Minecraft or anything, just rename the 1.2.5 minecraft.jar to something else then put the new snapshot in the bin folder. @Everyone complaining there's no new features:
