There is no Emerald dye. If you want green dye cook some cactus. And there's a mod for stained glass, and it should stay that way.

Just because they add new ore doesn't mean new tools is a good idea. This isn't Terraria.

They should have made gold nuggets currency, as you can already get them from Zombie Pigmen, or mining gold ore which is already a pain to find. That way, emeralds, rubies and sapphires could be added as gems that we could find. That's my idea.

Agreed i think it should be strictly currency only! The only reason i would think to make it in a block form is to be able to trade it in a larger quantity (9 emeralds = 1 emerald block)

Hey jeb i found a bug, In snapshot 2 Every once in a while when I login and I have stuff I traded with the villagers its gone and your at the spawn starting over. Also stuff you crafted. The only stuff you get to keep is stuff you placed in chests. ITS REALLY ANNOYING! PLZ fix this if you have the time or your already fixing it.

I agree.

Looks pretty boss to me. It seems pretty weird how emeralds are near impossible to find in nature, but villagers give to you for a few chickens. I hope they have other uses.

i don't get it what is he removing? just emerald blocks or everything that has to do with emeralds? i don't really mind blocks getting removed but please don't remove the ore

Yeah, I think they grind Lapis into really fine particles to use as a dye. I'm no expert though.
