I think the ore shouldn't be removed, it shouldn't be mountain biome exclusive though.
And the villager trading will mess up the entire game the way it is. They SHOULDN'T PUT TRADING IN YET, it needs some balancing. With trading all you need to do is go to a village, mine all the weed from the farms, replant it, wait, start again. After you have only a crate full of wheat, you can buy diamond armor and tools. PLEASE, do not add it. It will RUIN the game.
calm down. they are going to make it so if you steal from the villagers (take stuff from chests or take their crops) it develops poor relations with them, so they won't trade. or maybe even the iron golem attacking you. that would be funny XD

we get an emerald block but where is my redstone, coal, leather, feather, slime, bone blocks and i have great ideas for all of them lets get these blocks added to the game
Redstone is a electrical power substance in the form of dust.Dust cant be formed into hard blocks. Coal, why not just use obsidian or black wool?. Leather,I can see... FEATHER?A FEATHER BLOCK WTF? Theres a mod that addsslime blocks.Bone blockwouldbe useless,why not just use wool? Theres no realpoint in all these blocks.

It's not that they don't want Emerald ore, it's that they are complaining that the Emerald Ore is too rare.
I say, make iron gold and diamond twice as rare as they already are and make emerald ore spawn only in the Nether. Above lava.
That will shut them up.
Edit: and all iron, gold, and diamond veins spawn with a creeper spawner right next to them.
Make them suffer for their complaints!
I can't wait to build a mansion out of Money, and to fill it with villager slaves. And then I'll walk around all day wearing a full suit of golden armor. While taking a shower in diamonds.

I like his ideas for some blocks. A coal block would be really nice. But as for stuff like feathers, I don't think so.
Why are some people not liking the players who also have an opinion about the Emerald Ore in Minecraft? Just because they aren't too happy about the way the idea is turning out, doesn't mean they're complain artists and should be punished. I love the Emerald and I'm glad we're getting another ore - however, I do believe it should be tweaked a bit. It doesn't make anyone a bad person if they believe in their two cents.
OMG people. Stop saying "You guys kept complaining about the Emerald ore and now it's removed. Thanks you idiots." If the ore is left in the game then it would break the economy system in the game. Example: There are thousands of caves to explore. If Emerald is as common as iron then you're gonna be a millionaire in a matter of a few hours. Plus it's an economy system. If you want Emeralds you have to trade, and that's the whole point of it. It's strictly economy based and not mining based.
Exactly what I'm thinking .. perhaps we get handbrakes? Would be easier to make a furnace cart wait for me to get in to the cart somewhere ahead of it (assuming the furnace carts can push their own weight up a hill yet).
That would be so true if emerald ore was so easy to obtain which it isn't and wont be considering it so rare and biome specific. Otherwise you comment is so inaccurate n flawed.
That's just an example. If it's too common then it breaks the economy system. "Look at all the Emeralds I got from mining. Now I can buy anything from Villagers very easily with little effort. Sure feels like an economy system." The meaning of this economy system is to trade, not mine and buy.
