Most game developers don't support Linux yet (With the exception of Minecraft), so we don't have any plans to make a Linux client. We're constantly re-evaluating things like this, but we don't see it happening anytime soon.
I hate it when they use the word "should". That implies that it might not work. It did not work for me,if you know that it might not work, there should be two ways of getting it on your client.
The spleef server is extremely laggy. There are rarely any moderators or admins on, its always full, and there's a spam war going on as i'm typing this. As for the curse client, i don't give a ****.

To all of you people who think Notch is still working on the game, he stopped working on Minecraft in late 2011. Get your facts straight and stop spamming his twitter about Minecraft updates.
