Is anyone having trouble opening the .zip file? I used 7-Zip and WinRAR to try to open it. They both gave me error messages, but WinRAR managed to open it, however, I don't think I will be able to extract the contents.
Guys stop worrying about the dupe glitch. It really isn't hard to get materials. My friend and I built a massive castle. I'm talking 15 block high walls, 70 blocks wide. 20 block high towers with stairs and iron doors. A stone mansion (the pretty stuff) 30 high and 30 wide.
And it took us about 9 hours with building/gathering combined. Without the dupe glitch. It really isn't that hard to get resources.
As for the bug fix..I guess thats cool.
Was really really hoping for an actual update with pistons. But I guess I'll have to wait.
Curious if the clay fix is for already generated worlds. Probably not.
Everyone who is upset about the dispenser glitch, calm down, when 1.8 comes out, you'll have creative mode, so don't flip out.Also, it's a glitch. Something that was never intended. Plus, the gathering of materials is part of the fun.

I love this map. I did my skin after around 15,000 skins were made. And for some reason, when I was walking around exploring the skins, looking for mine, the map looked like it was greifed with explosions! The fire from some skins was burning it up and TNT was exploding due to the fire spread!
ALRIGHT! The reason why I dupe is because our worlds are so small, we can only probably get one stack o diamonds.
Actually it is a lot more than that. Each chunk contains one to two diamond veins on average. So, lets say the average vein length is around 4 - 8 diamond per vein. If you multiply that by the amount of chunks in a 1000 x 1000 area that would give you, around 3906 chunks in your world. Multiply 3906 * 8 - 16 and you get 31,248 Diamonds to 70,308 diamonds in your typical world. However, that is without any lava or caves and things like that, so let us subtract the average cave spawn rate since those possible diamond spawns are filled with air blocks from caves, cave spawn rates are around 58% I believe. So, really you should get 18,123 - 40,778 Diamonds in a typical world. However that is AVERAGE it could be lower or higher depending on your seed. So, that is a lot of diamonds isn't it? ( I may have done my math wrong so if someone can detect an error please let me know.)

Just because you can't use a glitch that WASN'T intended, you will quit the game?
So when you paid 20 bucks, you bought it so you could duplicate items? I don't recall buying the game for that reason.

You didn't buy the game to dupe, you bought it to play survival mode just like the description said.
Either stop whining, and play it like a man by mining resources (which isn't hard), or just quit until creative comes out and you can make your pretty little statues.

The description was a building game, I'd call it one with survival as an option.
Also mods aren't intended by the devs but guess what? many survive and thrive. Inventory editors were huge before creative mode took over. All the dispenser glitch is, is an in game version of one in which you already have to have atleast 1 of the items.
Good for you, I build legitly too but I have friends who have built more than a castle, one friend in particular has created so much (70% legit by the way) that I'm feeling for him right now. Building a town that covers the entire center of your map is a feat, especially with huge steam punk bridges, temples, trainstations, etc all alone would require massive amounts of time not available to some people. Rather he enjoys the building aspect of the game (which is why there IS a creative mode.
Also we have no idea when 1.8 is coming, those people who quit because of this might never come back to mcx because they felt discourages and might pick up other games. That might seem fine to you but some excellent builders that would put you to shame are in that group- so get off the high horse and atleast try to understand where some people are coming from with complaints about the update.
Mojang and 4j might not care but as part of the PC and MCX communities I prefer see talent in MC bloom no matter what shape it takes. Thinking that they build little statues shows just what you lack in imagination.

Now that the duplication glitch is gone minecraft XBOX360 went from the #1 game to the game i will never play again game.oh well my friend all ready duplicated 5,050 diamonds.

well i actually because it was for my friend were i live i was never going to play it. i just would get all the achievements and i all ready did and my friend just told me about this glitch yesterday so i don't have to play anymore.

What they really need is a way to enter commands like you can in minecraft, im pretty sure that would help.
(It would especially help if you had a keypad or keyboard hooked up to your xbox, but even if you don't, you can enter them on your controller with a virtual keyboard (Like you would for signs), that would help so people could teleport, use the give command (But only ops could use them, or we could have a basic permission system to decide who gets what command (That still might be too complex to implement into the xbox 360 version right now) and so on), ect.
