I think they need to add the new mob Bears, the Bears go as slow as you can walk downhill, but faster than you can run on flatland and uphill. Also, it should stand up before it kills you in one hit, (Without armor.) If it's running, it should pounce. A dead Bear should give rare potion drops, but mainly 3-5 leather. With your fists it should be realistic and kill it in about 25 hits. They spawn in the tundra/tiaga and die if they get stuck in a desert for too long.
Texture Packs that are in folders and not in a zip file are recognized as a texture pack.
That to me isn't new. I make my own texture pack for personal use and I noticed my texture pack template folder (NOT zip file) was in the in-game texture pack list. I am playing on 1.2.5 and I noticed this around 1.2.1.
Absolutely loving the snapshot the big two feature I love/noticed were the server sided texture pack and how you can now place slabs on walls not only on the lower part of blocks but the top. Also enjoying the emeralds finally an in-game currency (I will be using on my server).
Hey minecraft players wanna play the new 12w23b snapshot ? I have a server ... private message me if you would like to join as it is whitelist only.
I still want my stackable potions. Seriously, with potions being the closest thing to casting spells this game has without any sort of mod, it's kind of disgruntling to anyone who likes utilizing in magic in their videogames.

An extended potion runs for 8 minutes. That's pretty much all night long if you take the potion at sunset. Store the surplus in chests and you can manage to restock in the morning with not much trouble. Or build brewing stands all over the place. With the empty bottles being stackable, it's not a huge hardship any more than any of the other inventory management challenges are.
Now to the reason I'm actually posting...
I'm wondering whether others are finding that, at least for save games that were generated in or played in 12w22a, and if you had amassed huge amounts of XP (I had over 1000 XP banked in one game, and was running low on lumber to build storage chests for the enchanted weapons) I found when I installed 12w23b that no progress was happening in the XP, even when I was hunting mobs for their loot and to increase XP. The XP orbs dropped and I collected them, but the progress bar simply did not move.
Started a fresh game and confirmed that at least for low XP levels things still seemed to be working.
I'd be much happier if they just gave the enchantment system an overhaul rather than trying to tweak it and balance it. Make more use of the whole "decoding cryptic text" thing.
Make it easier, more fair and more fun to get enchantments on your tools and weapons and also give a bit more control over which enchantments you get, rather than gambling all your EXP away hoping to get the enchantment you want or at least a decent one.
But then again, it's not like there's anything else to spend EXP on when in Singleplayer.
Everybody wants 1.3 to be released, but, does anyone knows what did Mojang plan for 1.3?
Maybe they didn't reach the goal they set for 1.3...
Maybe they did and now only bug fix remains...
Let's be patient and if 1.3 won't be out until next month we'll all burn everything to the ground!!!
(just kidding)
loads of new features, but world generation is insanely slow on this snapshot.
The majority of the features you may never see dependent on the seed values you use (villages are still a real challenge to find or I've been just massively unlucky)

Is there some threshhold at which XP stops increasing with this latest bulid/snapshot? Wondering whether it's a bug or a feature. Didn't spot any related bugs in http://www.minecraftwiki.net/wiki/Known_bugs/Version_12w23b
cant craft tnt anyone else having this problem?Make it easier, more fair and more fun to get enchantments on your tools and weapons and also give a bit more control over which enchantments you get, rather than gambling all your EXP away hoping to get the enchantment you want or at least a decent one.

In survival arrows shot from dispensers do not cause damage to players.
You could use your levels for bragging rights...
But yeah enchanting kinda sucks right now....
www.mojang.com has it also the latest updates
