Nevermind, I built a few.

OMG! the 1.8.1 is not even a month old and now the 1.9 pre-release is out.

Why when I download it the sign for winrar is what comes up. DOnt I need the blank peice of paper?!

do you get xp for jumping? my xp bar fills up when i jump and im not sure if that's supposed to happen.

By the way, THAT PRE-REALEASE ALMOST CRASHED MY COMPUTER! Hope it gets less laggy on the official release. I only have 2GB of RAM and a 1.7GHZ processor(Intel Celeron M) with only 1 CPU, my OS is Windows 7(it was XP before, but my dad updated)(I use a labtop, the only computer in my house). Me and my parents can't afford a new computer. D:

I feel that MC will require 3GB of RAM, a processor with 2 or more CPUs(like Intel Core i5) or that the processor must be 2.0GHz in the future, which that will suck for us with old computers. In the final realesse notch should work on making Minecraft compatible with old computers. From versions 1.7.3 and lower I had NO lag AT ALL!

i wish i could update my server but my friends cant it will crash minecraft

I know this has been brought up elsewhere for other releases, but I've never found a solid answer - my search fu is not up to par I guess...

Will I have to create a new world? I haven't gone terribly far (above ground) in my current 1.8 generated world, but I have gone to the Nether and wandered around for less than 100 blocks.

What's been y'all's experience with this? Did any of you keep your existing worlds and are able to see proper swamps, abandoned mineshafts with fence supports, populated npc villages, snow, and Nether structures?

I'm looking for positives or proven negatives. Please do not reply with unproven "fact" or based on The Word of Notch, as I've seen that can get hopelessly useless.

hey, I need help. how do you download this prerelease? I downloaded the 1.8 pre release. PM me.

When I hit the download link the file pops up as being a .zip file, not a .jar. How do i get the file to be in .jar format so it can be used

I need to know what Packers915 also wants to know... WHy is it a .zip file from like winrar and not the .jar that shows a blank piece of paper?!

Please tell me that repeated jumping is coming back! I'm not updating if I have to hit spacebar a million times to climb hills.
