Ooh, towns now contain chests with weapons and food! Is this a new aspect introduced in this snapshot, or just something that I hadn't come across before?

Mystcraft: the most fun I've had since I started playing Minecraft. Craft a Link to a new Age!
I said that we would have Editable books. 13 alluded to it. We are also getting a new mob based on what we think made the footsteps (Werewolf most likely. We have NPCs, so maybe some of them are infected with the gene and you have to slay them or else they'll turn the village into snarling man-wolves. Think protecting them from zombies was hard enough? Now try to pick out the wolf in sheep's skin.).
There's one thing that is puzzling me: You can't have water on the nether because it "evaporates": Okey, i get it - the nether is supposed to be really hot, hence the water evaporates...
...but...
WHY can we go there naked (without armor) and not suffer any sort of injury? Can someone explain me this one?
Where is the logic behind all this?
Do note that i'm only talking about the toon itself...for sure there will be alot of other stuff that won't make sense to exist in the nether with those conditions, IF that's the logic (to much heat in there) that mojang is applying behind the concept of water not being possible on the nether.

You are all missing a big point. The next new update should have better boats. For example, a regular wood boat functions as is. However, you would make a bowl-like shape with the new material, iron, for example, and put a wood boat in the middle.
Like so: =boat

This would plate the boat in the material, which would change the color and:
iron = stronger boat
gold = faster boat
diamond = faster AND stronger boat
redstone = coal- powered boat that moves on its own with coal, similar to a coal minecart only u can ride in it
1 chest = similar to a minecart with chest only u can ride in it
Like a boss 1.2.6 is gonna be...or...yeah, i don't know what the next update is
