I don't think either Notch or Yogsacast would approve of the vast majority of posts on this thread, even if said post were trying to defend them.
Notch doesn't seem all to bothered about it at the moment, and Yogscast are getting round to making a full statement that would probably close the situation.
Just stop acting so extreme. It irritates me and other intelligent members.
I was arguing at first, trying to make people keep from taking sides, but now Im just sitting back with popcorn and laughing at their stupidity. Is that bad of me?

Yes, the entertainment value hit 0 long ago. Just go away.
My family is from Scotland, and if people think that Brits swear too much, they should NEVER go to Scotland. That would probably make them **** their pants.
Is it true Glaswegian say "Good day" by stabbing you? At the time it seemed terribly rude of them, but i might have misunderstood.
simon and lewis are funny but they were kind of assholes during the interview like when lewis was talking about the hat they gave notch and then threw it behind him after making a joke, whether the hat was actually a gift or not that was a **** move simon was just awkward throughout the whole interview like always
I find it funny that this is even happening because:
1. This kid hasn't even come out to tell us yet it could have been a false complaint
2. Simon/Lewis/Hannah are impersonated all of the time i wouldn't be surprised if it was a look-alike
3.The kid asked them for an autograph, he knows that swearing is a common theme
Wow, that's some pretty underhanded ****, Notch. Especially selling the videos without their approval to IGN. At least IGN was pro in siding with the Yogcast.
What if the Brits in question already lived there? I.e. the Scottish people.
Ehhhh...... You have a point.
I hate technicalities. >_<
As a Scot, I consider myself Scottish, not British despite Scotland being part of the British Isles. ITs sort of like how the people from Wales call themselves Welsh, instead of British. They are really only British in name.

Depending on the details, it's Mojang's right to sell the rights to a video if they choose to. Just like your bank can sell your mortgage to another bank, if it's allowed by the contract. And they can sell it to another bank, and they can sell it to another, and on, and on. Unless they specified that it could not be sold, it's Mojang's right to sell it.
What I don't like about all this, is that Notch is acting like every other 'professional' that tweets before he thinks, forgetting that he's not just a 32 year old programmer with a few friends following him. His postings had a negative effect on the Yogscast's following, because he basically slandered them.
So basically, he did an interview with them, sold the rights to that video (doesn't really matter who hosts it, does it?) and afterwards, posted inaccurate information about the Yogscast crew which he had to know would cause them to lose subscribers.
So in the end, Mojang IS a bunch of nerds that don't know how to run a company. Otherwise, they'd already have a PR person overseeing tweets and other communication out of the company. I don't blame them for being inept, but hire someone that isn't to keep from drying up their profits through lawsuits and lack of direction.
I subscribed to Yogscast after having watched their entire Minecraft series up into the beginning of the Shadows of Israphael bit. I enjoyed the survival duo, not so much when it became scripted. But they're still hilarious, and their mod reviews are helpful to get them out to viewers, and entertaining at the same time.
I don't think it's Notch's normal behavior to do what he did to Yogscast, but it's still very low. Now, where's his apology?
I cannot believe Notch's childish behavior he does not deserve all of these fans. I don't know about many others but i will think hard about supporting him our Mojang again. This was very stupid of him the fact is not all minecraft users came from the yogscast but many did.It was a very idiotic decision and i will very much consider not playing minecraft agian.
All the comments bashing on how terrible Yogscast is and how awesome Notch is.
What has this world come to?
Joke or no, what notch said was inexcusable and most likely full of lies.
Stop fanboying to Notch, who is the real suspect here.
Yogscast themselfs are upset about this because they said they did 'No such thing' what notch said.

I got interested from watching X's videos, but that doesn't mean I didn't enjoy the Yogscast ones, I just had already bought the game by then. However, I did just buy a 2nd (as a gift) before beta ended.
There's no reason to stop playing Minecraft over this. For one, Mojang is more than 1 person, and Jens is the one working on Minecraft now, I believe. They already have your money, remember. You aren't going to hurt them, you'll just give up a game you like for no reason.
The best thing I think you can do is to remember this when reading what Notch says, and remember that he's just a regular guy that made a game that became incredibly popular. He's not super-human...even athletes get some instruction on dealing with fame and fortune. Hopefully Notch is just severely embarassed and wishes it'd go away, and that's why he's not talking about it anymore. Still, an apology would help fix what he broke.
