Most of you guys don't really know what happened except for what Notch posted on Twitter. I personally like both of them and want to hear the Yogscast's side of this too. But, what also made Mojang mad was how immature Simon and Lewis were acting at a point. Complaining about how slow Mojang was, and how the Yogbox was what made Minecraft fun and Vanilla Minecraft is boring. So on and so on. Here's a video.
it makes me laugh seeing all the Yogcast fan boys like DrZavulon. Notch was answering the publics question and was just informing the public.
He made your mother jokes in a private interview between Yogcast and himself, these didn't have to be aired. This was between 3 adults too and not for public display where it is being advertised to young children.

The video was meant to be public. Assuming it to be a private interview would be intentionally putting yogscast in a bad light. Plus, you seem like a notch fanboy yourself.
Regarding the exhibition, there were no specific rules saying swear words weren't allowed, by law, they are protected by free speech.
The bit in the Reddit post about the organizational aspects falling through and getting changed around sort of resonates with me. I've seen gamer friends IRL start companies, open shops, etc. with no further administrative planning than "hey Joe, you're a nice guy and good with people. Why don't you be our PR department?"
Instead of looking into professional event services and planners, they might hire a friend or dragoon a girlfriend into being the gofer. This is a mistake. They should hire a professional.
And they should be careful which professional service they hire. One based in the US would be best, but perhaps it's easier for them to communicate with someone closer to home. The wrong service might lead them to expect smooth sailing, but let things fall apart at the last moment.
It's really too bad all this had to come up at the inaugural Minecon. Now most people who looked forward to celebrating Minecraft's debut will come away with a bad taste in their mouths. Miscommunication, poor organization, inappropriate language, venal decision-making, lack of professionalism, personality and ego clashes, backbiting, etc.
I can't really take anyone's side, because I'm equally appalled and surprised at the alleged behaviour of all sides. At the end of the day though, I'm going to be playing Minecraft whether or not this gets sorted out in a professional way, or merely scabs over, waiting and festering to erupt again.

Like when I watch the IGN youtube live Minecon video I was LMAO on the intro for them... like Simon would say BALLS TO IT lol... That what yogscast was all about was swearing they are grown adults and they don't sensior their $%&# when they edit it... they don't know the people who watch it may be young ones. But I think IGN should of made a bleep button for the Yogscast lol. From the media stand point if swearing was a issue and the producers don't want that in there they should of stop the live stream with this picture:

Sorry, are you talking about yourself? What are your statements based on? If notch was being serious about this, there would be more clariification from him or mojang. Surprisingly, they are not elaborating any further which leads me to think that it might be a joke, given that yogscast is taking quite awhile to respond and notch/mojang keeping quiet about it.
Clearly you have an inflexible mind, capable of looking at things from one point of view and immediately deciding that the choice you picked is the absolute truth(which would mean notch)
This may just be me, but I'm looking for proof that the Yogscast or Notch has done something wrong. I enjoy seeing the Yogscast being polite and taking their time to give autographs, but what I'm looking for is proof that they've done anything wrong and linking it to Notch's frustration.
Notch is used to a more stricter lifestyle being swedish and all.
Add the facts that:
-Notch (and alot of fans) see the Yogscast as minecraft 'heroes'/'examples' for mostly the younger players/watchers meaning that Notch wouldn't approve of the swearing.
-Both Notch and the Yogscast have a reputation to hold up, and Notch felt the Yogscast ruined that.
-That the Yogscast doesn't cooperate as they should've is obviously not good (not necessarily bad), however it's their style but they could atleast respect it.
-There should be no argument about the fact that the yogscast feels like they should be paid: they went there for themselves and as such should pay themselves, but if needed Mojang and Yogscast could settle that Mojang pays the travel (and maybe the stay). However as Notch said: everyone went voluntary and as such it wouldn't be fair if only the Yogscast would get paid.
