If the yogscast really did that, I wouldn't be surprised. The only reason their popular is because they made that role-playing bull**** out of minecraft. They can't even play the game like Its suposed to be played. All their fans are either dumb enough to listen to their terrible commentary and watch their failed attempts at custom maps, or watch them for only shadow of isriphel.

Notch specifically said that none of the "entertainers" got paid to be at Minecon. In fact, they all paid for their own tickets to get in.
This is an incredibly unprofessional way to run a convention and a company.
No matter what you think of the Yogscast, they make a living (and not a great one by all accounts) with their youtube videos. They are "celebrities" and entertainers.
Hell, earlier in the year they went to another convention for Minecraft related things in Europe. That wasn't even an official convention, and it was smaller, but they were paid to do that.
Mojang charged you all money to go to Minecon. If someone had said that you would pay to get into Minecon JUST to watch Notch pull a fake lever, then you could go home, would you have paid? No.
You pay the money for the perks. The goody bags, the people you can meet, the panels you get to go to, etc.
That is why "celebrities" attending conventions get paid.
I, for one, am incredibly shocked that Mojang pocketed all of the Minecon money and thought it unprofessional for entertainers to request to be paid to do what they get paid to do.
Do you know who makes good Minecraft videos? ...well I could tell you, but then you'd spam his/her e-mail all day long.
Someone with an entertaining personality? Because I know lots of terrible ones made by flat boring emotionless people. Please do share as it will allow us to judge your tastes and deem this person worthy, or have me rip into them like a hyena starving for good content.
Also, if their voice is squeaky or annoying, I'm just going to close it and come back and tell you to get your hearing checked.
But eh, Minecon was a terrible idea to begin with. And I'm actually agreeing with those points TotalBiscuit made on the previous pages.

I'm not finding a lot of clear stuff regarded rated R, but if I'm not mistaken that's typically reserved for nudity and discussion / actual sexual acts. My guess is that "Your Mom" jokes and joked about Masturbation would tip a movie towards R if they happened a lot.

Going by this, which is worse? Telling a kid to eff off / writting eff you on a slip of paper or joking about someone's mother and masturbation? Given the ratings above, I think that's pretty clear. Also note we really don't know if a member of the Yogscast actually dropped the bomb or wrote it down on a kid's signature card. We have one man claiming you don't drop the f-bomb around kids but we don't know if he was a witness or heard it through the vine.
Also, for those who are claiming that Yogscast are full of themselves but that Notch (and Mojang by extension) are humble, consider this:
Notch held a freaking convention for pushing the button. This was one giant ego stroke on his part. I have yet to hear of a developer, mainstream or indie, that have a freaking CONVENTION where they go up on stage to do the final code commit and flip the switch on the download servers. They may have a launch party, but typically the game has already launched
I am big fan of both Minecraft and Yogscast. But I have to say, who really cares about this ********. If I wanted to concern myself with "scandal", I'd start reading the tabloids in the market. Seriously, who cares.
In Notch Interview Part 2, Notch says that if he were to troll the whole Minecraft community, he'd tweet about going on vacation.

Well, I think we should wait for Yogscast to show there side of the story before we choose sides. While I agree that it's unprofessional of Notch to react so harshly, the Yogscast probably shouldn't have said that to the kid. I just hope that when the Yogscast site goes back online and the new Vlog will explain that it was a hoax. I love Yogscast and Minecraft but I don't want to see them fight like children over a simple matter. I just hope it was a joke

I don't like Yogscast at all. I never really did, personally. I don't think they're even funny and they do sometimes appear as spoiled brats, but that's just my opinion. Everyone has one.
Hopefully those two can resolve their differences, though. Hopefully the whole thing'll just blow over.

Not to mention that he was probably informed by others of what they did and or pulling it out of his ****. and lol! blow things out of proportion! hes acting like a 6 year old child! Wheres the evidence that he was there first hand seeing and watching what the yogscast did, wait till the second half of the story comes out till you start jumping to conclusions.
I have friends who have met notch, they have said nothing bad about him, he is a very nice guy, very humble. Yogscast on the other hand, there are multiple records of what they did, i'd like to see how they can cover this up with the 50+ stories about them other than notch. Honestly, if i made a game and then a group of small videogame celebrities claimed they were the reason my game was a success, i would be pretty angry too, they basically neglect all of notch's hard work and claim that they were more important than that.
