My husband got into minecraft because of yogscast. But I had known of minecraft LONG before I heard of yogscast.
Simon and lewis might have got a little carried away by being at the event. It can happen. I like both parties, so I hope something works out.

Are you kidding? Simon and Lewis were kind of insulting when they were opening the goodie bag, "I want goodies, not paper!" and in some parts of the interview they weren't angels either. I'm not surprised at this point.
I had Them subscribed since before they did minecraft videos, But i don't even watch their stuff, I don't really like the way they do playthroughs its kinda boring to watch them.
Ok, first of all everyone, this is none of our business. This cannot be change by a few words of taking sides or talking trash about each other. I think Notch is over reacting just a tad, and also he needs to sit down and talk to Yogscast again. I'm not saying Yogscast didn't do these things, but it might not be 100% true. Yes, Yogscast might have said some things they shouldn't have said, but Notch should act his age and not spread gossip all over the world. Nether of the parties should act this way.
Notch is making a war with Yogscast right now that will become worse and worse until its an all out war zone. Friends will choose sides and then fight each other ,and Notch tweeting about it won't help anyone, even you. Finally, people if you want to choose sides fine do it, but don't ruin yourselves over one stupid fight. :dry.gif:

Also this could have just could have been a misunderstanding in their communication. Remember Notch is from Sweden and the Yogscast is from Britan.
As I said on the yogscast FB page their interview wasn't exactly professional and Notch saw it and Started trolling them hence some of the comments about Simon's [email protected] I learned about MC via Paulsoresjr myself.and found the yogscast about 2 months later.
I like how this topic has WAY more responses than the Minecon Recap. You'd think it would be the other way around.
They should settle THIS one with a Quake 3 match!

It's not smart for people on his level to publicly bash others. It's also probably unwise to say the Minecraft Community is caring. He's obviously never visited the Minecraft Forums.
The thing is, a lot of posts have been going on about Notch either "lying" or not.
Realize that there isn't just a lie and a truth in life. There are exaggerations, misunderstandings, understatements, etc.
It's obvious Notch isn't creating a lie. Most likely he either:
a)Misunderstood the Yogscast
or
b)Received this information from a secondary source who probably exaggerated it.
To be honest, at this point, sides shouldn't be taken.
First of all, an entire side of the story hasn't been given out.
Second, the details, period, of the dispute hasn't come out yet.
maybe it wasn't simon and lewis? maybe someone from their team?
When I was at MineCon I realized that Simon and lewis may not have any idea what is going on with their other crew. I was one of the 20 people patiently standing inline to get near the front for the signing when a yogscast facilitator came up to us. He commented "Don't stand in line early or you wont get anything signed" and broke up the entire line only to form a chaotic mob. Later he said that we could not approach where Simon and Lewis where going to be signing. Finlay when they arrived, he gave out only 100 "tickets" to people and would kick anyone out of the line who did not have one these. I don't know what happened after that, but it's my belief that if someone pays 100$ to go to Minecon he/she should be able to get something signed. This post will probably be buried in comments anyway, just getting the word out to more people of what we where complaining about while in a line.

I knew about minecraft before yogscast. Minecraft made Yogscast famous. Though i like the Yogscast and i doubt simon and lewis did any of this.
