everything looks great except the removal of single player. I love being able to play without worrying about horrid latency. I look at multiplayer bugs and cringe. I can't fight, because my attacks don't register until the mob has attacked me twice, I can't place blocks because they spaz out, it's almost unplayable!
but I'm stuck with it because I know every map from here on will use those book+quills for notes. >.<
The release notes are not very clear about it, but in 12w21b single-player is running as a single process again. It's been working pretty well for me (my laptop is 2006 vintage.) Give it a try.
I still keep falling through the map when I load my single player world. Does anyone know a solution? I already tried connecting to a server and then trying again, but that just makes the client freeze.
Hey what you do is you finish falling then you pause it and go to the menu and open the level again. i have this problem too!
I found a bug. NPC Villages not being rendered. some blocks are invisible and if u try to walk were it should be you will glitch out. if you place a block were it should be it will turn into the correct block and it is really annoying when you are trying to see the Pyrimid

You just have to wait about 5 minutes and it will load i had the same problem
The poster that said emeralds spawn in extreme hills and extreme hills edge , around the gold layer 1-32 is correct . I could not find any , till I specifically went to that biome and started a mine. Thanks for that info ,
Though this is super amazing and all, I am really hoping they will do more biome, weather, and world work. (make taller mountain biomes, elevation temperature, etc.
I now seem to have a bug where I cannot pour water or lava from buckets. The bucket appears empty, but nothing appears. If you right-click to pick the water/lava back up, it fills the bucket. This didn't happen in 12w21a but that was in creative mode whilst the bug occurred in Hardcore mode.
So far the new ore is proving elusive in Hardcore mode, but I didn't get a very good start on the mine so it could just be this map location XD
Huge biomes live up to their name, makes exploration much more appealing and necessary if you want a bit of everything.
Slimes seem to spawn more often, not sure if that's something to do with the snapshot or a previous update.
Creepers don't seem to be as aggressive....I've had one or two totally ignore me for some reason (though one did creep up behind me).
Haven't had chance to test the Ender-chest yet, but I love the idea for SSP. Not sure how it'll work for SMP PVP (owner status maybe?)
Haven't found a pyramid yet, but looking forward to it.
Dispensers new functions are great in theory, but I'm yet to try out the possibilities for them in terms of traps etc.
Had one world crash and die, but it's only a snapshot, so it's to be expected.

quisiera saver cuando publican los nuevos crafteos, por que los libros ya no salen con el crafteo convencional de tres hojas y quisiera saver como se hacen los libros y las nuevas cosas pues estoy provando en modo sobrevivencia.

From my experience worlds are still getting corrupted about 50% of every time I start or open one. So no matter what any world I make eventually (quickly) gets corrupted.
Ah, So its a good idea just to leave the older ones alone for now.
Beats Black Ops.... not big surprise. BO sucked. Still sucks.
many people would beg to differ considering you are probably just upset that in black ops you cant shoot 5 seconds late and still kill people, black ops is way better than mw3 in every way except the unlock system
All respect to Minecraft, but really? Black Ops is a dying game that can't get past 200,000 players online on the weekend, let alone weekdays. It's a surprise it was even keeping the #2 spot to begin with.
Because it's about 1 1/2 years old and most online console communities are straight up dead by then. What actually surprises me is how Black Ops was able to hold that position for so long.

Trading is definitely too op. Just capture a blacksmith and farmer. Make a massive wheat farm which isn't too hard.
Afk at wheat farm and harvest for a few rounds. Go to farmer, sell wheat. Go to smith, buy all the diamond you could ever want.
The purpose of mining has now been defeated. To be honest, they need to jack up the prices of diamond and make it so that like one stack of bread is one emerald.

- if you die all npcs turn into farmers and lose their original career(librarian ect.)
- iron golems jump on fences and rapidly spin
