I don't suppose anyone knows anything about the new "texturepacks-mp-cache" folder magically popping up in our minecraft folders? or the "Server Texture" option? WAT DO.
Not sure if they've been posted yet but here's a couple bugs I found in this snapshot:
1) World Generating: Strangely slow and sometimes instead of loading the screen simply goes black.
2) Loading Existing worlds: World loads but my character spawns in seemingly void space and falls into nothingness forever (does not die or anything) Very reminiscent of buggy SMP teleport commands.
3) Buckets: Right clicking to place water sourceblock does not work. (not sure about lava) I created a new world and was forced to use MCEdit in order to place a water source block in my wheat farm.
People with the problem of not finding items, certain things are renamed to something else in the different English languages (and languages in general). e.g. The Australian english has boats called surfboards! It's like when you first used Pirate English (if you ever did).
I have found a bug with the book & quill. I typed -'s all on one line and it had a weird symbol and the numbers 0 and 7 kept switching with each other. Here are a few images:

You seem to think that they make snapshots instead of updates. This is not true. Snapshots actually help make updates possible.

NOT liking the map being a server whether you're SP or MP. You can see and sense the slight "lag" on your own server, mobs don't react to hits as fast, you can't mine as fast, its BS.
This new system is not fun. Just keep it as it is OR add the option to have a SP server, or just SP on your comp without the server crap.

I agree with the problems (I keep going through villagers I'm trying to push around) but not your proposed solution. The solution is not to go back to the old system, it's to fix the new one.
The new system is a much better idea, and fixing local lag shouldn't be *that* hard. If they *can't* fix it, then sure, go back. But give them a chance first.
althought i love the additions of features here, i will continue playing 1.2.5 until they work out these stability issues, i had world corruption on my second launch of 12w21b and it seems pointless to keep fighting the game just to get to play. Bravo on the features tho mojang, however i will continue to massacre all villagers on sight regardless of their ability to trade, they are a plague and must be destroyed!!!

This snapshot was amazing until I started trying to build a farm to breed animals.
I'd made a big fenced-off area full of pigs and chickens, but after exploring the map for a bit, I return to find a huge chunk of dirt has grown over my farm, deleting most of the animals and fences.
After I tidied it up and cleaned the area around it some more, the same thing happened after I was killed and sent back to my spawn.
Something is up with either animals or fences.
Villager trading was super fun though. I spawned near a village and quickly got into trading pork and wheat for emeralds, and from there on worked on trading coal/meats/paper until I could afford metals from the blacksmith, but I'm not sure if I want to keep playing if I have to replace my farm/find new animals every time I wander too far from that chunk.

i heard about this happening to other people i think that the loading is very slow so what you think is empty space is actually dirt

I found a bug. NPC Villages not being rendered. some blocks are invisible and if u try to walk were it should be you will glitch out. if you place a block were it should be it will turn into the correct block and it is really annoying when you are trying to see the Pyrimid

This is a fantastic update! The creative menu is really great. But when is the actual update being released so the mods and texture packs can update? Its been months..
everything looks great except the removal of single player. I love being able to play without worrying about horrid latency. I look at multiplayer bugs and cringe. I can't fight, because my attacks don't register until the mob has attacked me twice, I can't place blocks because they spaz out, it's almost unplayable!
but I'm stuck with it because I know every map from here on will use those book+quills for notes. >.<
