Trading is definitely too op. Just capture a blacksmith and farmer. Make a massive wheat farm which isn't too hard.
Afk at wheat farm and harvest for a few rounds. Go to farmer, sell wheat. Go to smith, buy all the diamond you could ever want.
The purpose of mining has now been defeated. To be honest, they need to jack up the prices of diamond and make it so that like one stack of bread is one emerald.
That doesn't seem too OP for me. Minecraft is a game of paying off on investments. Finding a villager who will buy wheat can take some time. Finding another who will sell the single item you want (not to mention all the other things you can make with diamonds) takes time. Setting up a huge wheat farm takes time. Trapping the villagers and keeping them safe takes time. All of these things also take effort.
For all that time and effort, you are now rewarded with infinite amounts of a single thing. Sounds fair to me.

First of all, after a few days I went back and had that glitch where I spawn in an endless void.
Second of all, does this have local SMP or normal SMP? BECAUSE IT BETTER NOT HAVE LOCAL SMP!
i love minecraft and i know how popular it is, but i was amazed to see it beat out one of the dominate games at this point, i hear and see call of duty comments on almost every video i see on youtube, some that have nothing to do with gaming.
minecraft has come a very long way since i started playing it, and i still enjoy seeing what new things will come with it.
but unfortunately i don't own an xbox and never have, and this is one of the only times i regret not having one. the other time was afterr getting ps3 skyrim, talk about glitch fest.
It's kinda sad but the lily pads not crushing my boats is probably the coolest part of the update, on the other hand Minecraft structures are trying to kill me now! All around an awesome update. (Oh yeah! Ender chests! W00T!)
i have a problem trying to get the snapshot when i replace the minecraft.jar with the snapshot and it begins to load it the goes all the way up ontill a cenemeter till complete and it says its complete and will not go any further
Here is a bug that I found.
-Try trading with a villager while NOT having a full hunger bar, and having food in your hand. You will eat the food while you are trading
And my feedback
-I think it is unbalanced to have the villagers "learn new trades" only AFTER you trade with the last item they have. It makes it unfair. Let's imagine you have two wizard dudes. Each of them has learned 3 trades so far. One of their first trades are enchantment bottles (at the optimal trade ratio), the other's first trade is something else but has enchantment bottles as their last trade. If you only want to get enchantment bottles then you are better off trading with the first villager because he will always offer you at the same rate. If you trade with the second villager (who has bottle of enchant as his last trade), there is a chance he will generate a new trade that will raise the price of the bottle of enchant. And so one of the villagers is more useful than the other over infinite time. I think this is unintentional and unfair. To fix this, I think each trade you do should have a 1 in X chance of triggering the villager to learn a new trade (which could overwrite a previous skill), where X is the current number of skills.
i am the only one who allways thinks of MechWarrior3 while reading MW3 ?
Your not the only one. (oldfag here)
That was the first game that I got on my first compiter. Had to get the special massive custom joystick/comtroller as well.
Almost nothing beats Mechwarrior. (I reapeat Almost) imo
Now Minecraft takes up all my free time ..... that and porn, lol.
I can't wait 'til a more stable snapshot or the actual update. I have too much stuff in my worlds for me to screw it up at this point.
It is now possible too get chainmail in survival! I found a villlager that would give me chainmail pants for 4 emeralds, Don't know how common this is though.
Edit:Lol, I just found a pyramid and the ONLY treasure happens too be... Rotten flesh and bones!
Forever both a Chrono Trigger fan and a brony.

Worse yet, when you make a dock out of half-slabs, they sometimes fall all the way though and then drown underwater.

-Barney Stinson
No, it was actual dirt. I had to go and clean it up and re-build my farm every time it happened.
