does anyone agree with me when i say they need to add stuff that is hard to obtain? now that i can get coco beans from the jungle and arrows from gravel. what is there left to gather that is actually a challenge to find? iron and diamond appear so frequently its not funny so thats easy.
Did anyone notice that the tools and the bread look a bit more detailed than they sued to be? And also I don't usually play snapshots but could anyone tell me if you can take jungle tree wood, place it anywhere, and grow cocoa plants on it? or does it have to be a full tree?

This might sound like a nooby question, but is it possible to install mods in this snapshot? I dont think so, cuz the mod has to be updated for the right version right? or is there some way to get around that?

No, you can't install mods on a snapshot. Well, technically it is possible to install a mod on a snapshot, but no mod developer is going to be taking the time to locate all of the class files, recompile them without MCP, and then see all of that effort evaporate when the next snapshot comes along. Generally it takes about 2-3 weeks for most of the mods to catch up with any new release, and these snapshots are weekly.
In other words, on a practical level you will never see it happen. It is a good question though, so don't feel so stupid asking it. If you want to use mods, stick with the stable releases. If you want to experiment with upcoming changes so you can do stuff like learn how to farm cocoa beans, that is where snapshots are very useful.
I'm wondering how NPC villages, and Mooshroom biomes are being handled in this bigger biomes setting, I can't seem to find any NPC villages so far, but i'm wondering.
i found a bug when i try to play single player it acts like multiplayer and i cant play my worlds it says conection refused so in other words this snapshot made my game suck
I tried it out on one of my machines. The Cocoa beans plants are awesome, but I was playing on an existing world, so I didn't see the larger biomes. Maybe I'll start a new world just on this machine. Anyway, the one thing that I don't like is that I can't truly "pause" my game. WhenI hit escape which usually pauses the game, I can see the stuff moving behind the pause screen and still hear the sounds. I can understand this type of setup for a multiplayer/server environment, but for single player I would like to be able to pause the game to go get a snack/use the bathroom/whatever rather than having to log out to ensure that I'm safe.
The double tap is annoying in single player now. Whenever I go to place a block, eat, or whatever it sometimes does the operation twice if it can because of latency running a server on the local host. Basically two blocks get placed really fast or I munch on through two food items when only clicking once on the keyboard.

The server needs to be running this same snapshot is all. If they were, it would work fine for you. I recommend patience.
This server is amazing! IP:evocat.us You want good pvp? Go there!
Depends on how they want to code it. Oceans are already far larger than any other biome normally generates, so I would assume are handled differently.
