To the people claiming they skipped over the world size question, you clearly didn't read the entire thing.. It's under "What's there, what isn't". It's 1000x1000
That wasn't present in the original post. It was edited in after wave after wave of "World size?" questions were asked.
Getting right to the point and asking the big questions. . .
1.Will the world size increase? (i think a lot of people would be pleased for just a simple yes or no answer for this)
2.Whats the build height?
3.Is neather same world size?
4.Mods? (i realize they are highly unlikely)
5.Creative mode? (havn't seen anything about that yet)
besides this just take your time with the game i would like it to be done right and you guys do a great job so keep up the work i would like to personaly thank all of the team
I am sure somebody commented on it already, but here it goes anyway: 1000x1000 multiplayer... ROFL!!!
That is fine for a few friends that trust each other, but it is certainly idiotic for an open server. With no plugins to stop griefers and no "distance" to go hide your place, this is going to be griefer central. A miserable experience for most players who try it.
But then, maybe they "fixed it" by not allowing open servers. It would be a typical Microsoft "feature".
You know, At first I was disappointed with the map size when I heard about it yesterday, but hes right, it is plenty big, it will take a while to fix yourself up a good base and have fun you know, Hey thanks for the video dude you rock!!
:S we have a xbox here but its not mine and its not in my room but in my half brother hes room that i cant enter :/ i only have ps3 i why don't they also release it for ps3 i want to play it so hard on a console...
I think mojang signed a contract with xbox so they can only release the game on the console. (Apart from the mobile version)
The world size I'm not so sure about... Hopefully it's only temprarly in place for a while. Maybe just till they get out the major bugs then hopefully there could be an update that could expand the size. Nobody likes map restrictions.
But if they do keep it in place, does that mean they're bringing back the "Farlands" or will it be like some sort of invisable wall?
Up to 4 players can split screen. Up to 8 players can play multiplayer together, regardless if it's split-screen + friends, all friends, 2-split + 6 friends etc.

I saw a video, it is an invisible wall. On the map, it was a big island, enough to fill an actual map; he said you start out with a map. If you leave the island, there will be a vast ocean (At least for the map he was on, idk if every map is like this) and there will be an invisible wall at the map's boundaries.

does someone can tell me when i am able to download MC for XBOX in australia?? Day / Time??
I am right with 10/5/2012 around 11PM ?? Only if it launch at midnight 9th in america... Every time its so confusing with the timezones...
Wait, what? MC360 only has features from Beta 1.6? I never knew that, and I was so pumped about being able to play Minecraft on the Xbox, but now that I know it isn't even the full released game, I'm not even going to buy it.
What's the point of "finishing" Minecraft and "releasing" the "full version", when the Minecraft for Xbox isn't even the full game? What a horrible idea. To think I was actually excited for it, and I'm just receiving an unfinished piece of trash that I've already paid for and enjoyed to a further extent.
the point is that there is a very huge difference between the content of the beta and the content of the full version, its much easier for the 4J to port an older version of the game because it results in much less conversion, as well as the fact that the game is constantly updating, so they would need to continuously add features during the process of the conversion, meaning the game would never be released
edit: the team also mention several times that the 360 version would be behind on updates, though it is expected to catch up to the pc version in the near future
there is local multiplayer (2,4)
but can only 3 players be in a splitscreen play session? or nah?
all console games that support 4 player splitscreen support 3 player splitscreen, its just not ideal because 2 players get tiny boxes while 1 gets half the screen
Still a credit to your ruse, what a beautiful excuse, To never open up your eyes and see the things you lose,
Just climb the beanstalk when you die and meet the giant in the sky.

Arcade games usually land around 5 or 6 am Mountain Time. I would expect the same release format for minecraft.

also will there be Mods such as mo creep and weirdos or will people have to make the mod again or use a flashdrive(for single and multiplayer)

Retired StaffI didn't get minecraft till 1.8.1 came out though so can anyone tell me if the Nether was made before 1.6 or is that not there either...

Do you know what terrain generator it will use?

heave no fear, the Nether was created during the alpha stages of the game
