Here we go again. A timed demo.
The 1 thing in demos I do not like. Limit the demo in other ways Like a world size limit OR you cannot go to the Nether or end w/o buying the game and the demo cannot do multiplayer. Anything but a timed demo they do not do any game justice. Want to know what kind of demo that got me into Minecraft. The free2play weekend back on 9/18/2010.



Side note! With video games being around for more that 20 + years the word multiplayer is not in any spell check dictionary yet WTF???

My only concern is that I occasionaly like to play SSP on my laptop, which does not always have an internet connection. If I can't login to the minecraft servers am I going to be reverted to the demo mode?

I am probably late to have noticed this, but mojang has listened to my pleas!

It's not the SPC mod. Mojang just ported multiplayer commands to singleplayer. It's called "single player commands" because that's exactly what it is, commands for single player, so stop comparing the two.

Yeah, maybe it'd be better to have a static seed, no access to anything but the basic survival mode, no nether or end, maybe even clip the world to a 500x500 meter section of land.

I wonder, in demo mode, if you use MCEdit to modify the Minecraft day back to 1 whenever it gets to 4, if you'd be able to play forever.

-sigh- The commands are there most likely for the whole, single player is multiplayer thing, plus if they add some from the Single Player Commands mod, then people using redstone (like me) will be able to build easier.

This update kinda makes me sad. I was trying to get my sibling to play on survival mode without chickening out and this update just made that unachievable. :/

best mod is the one that allows you to type /gmc or /gms (change from survival to creative on the fly) single best mod out there.

Guess thats one less mod i gotta worry about

I'm on a 10.6.8 Mac, with 1GB of RAM, a 2 GHz Intel Core Duo and a GMA 950 graphic card.

i've noticed considerable framerate loss with the new update, as well as world generation seems......really ugly. Just me?

Bonus chest thing is just awesome, hope they add it to the multiplayer maps to.

I think Mojang is going into the thing about how singleplayer will be gone. Not completely gone but basically all multiplayer. Like if your playing singleplayer maps then you can just say you want to switch to multiplayer and people can see your singleplayer maps! Like Pocket edition.

I think the bonus chest is great idea... Now I don't have to waste my precious WOOD.
