MCX360 - Split-screen SMP
As the day for XBLA Minecraft approaches, we at the office find ourselves considering the myriad ways one can enjoy Minecraft while being within punching distance of one-another. There are quite a few ways this can be accomplished - we are considering a number - but we would rather hear about what you would want to do or see in MCX360 4-player split-screen. Normally, this would mean a poll, but there are TONS of ways to enjoy SMP, so we bring the question to you directly:
If you and three friends could play MCX360 split-screen right this second, what would you want to do with it more than anything else? Let us know!
Digital Diamond - Wireless Redstone - Without Mods
Minecrafter 777static777 shows off wireless redstone. "Pretty cool mod, but it's been done before", you might be thinking - however, this isn't a mod. This is wireless redstone functionality, in 100% pure vanilla Minecraft - check it out!
Mojang Plays Quake, Live
Want to see Mojang play Quake on a livestream? (SPOILER: Mojang wins by a land-slide)!
Congratulations 1adude, you suggested one of the few things that could not be done in splitscreen. I would like the ability to quickly teleport to the location the other 1-3 players.
More than anything, I think I'd like to see teleportation abilities with multiplayer for the xbox. I know it's useful as hell on the server I play on for the computer version, so I think it would be super nice for the xbox version too!
And now my friend and I are laughing about the possibilities. She's an explorer whereas I'm more of a builder, so us playing together with our other friend who prefers farming and animal herding and his buddy who loves to hunt for dungeons and build mob traps. The four of us together in one room on my 55" HD flatscreen playing......Yeah, that'll be great
Me personally, I really didn't mind the issue, considering the fact that I have 3 monitors. One to play Minecraft, one to watch YouTube video's, and one to program w/ notepad ++. So I really was multitasking and had something to do while I waited.
Comment on the Split Screen Mode: Don't do it. It's a terrible idea and nobody I know wants to go to another friends house to play with a fraction of the screen when they can stay at home and have a full screen to themselves. But, that's just my opinion and I'm sure popular opinion would disagree with me (Which I hope it does. I miss the old days).
I wish there was a play station 3 version of minecraft! I have a PS3 and hereing about the x-box version makes me sad
Disallowed! Xbox now has a new argument against the ps3 because we have minecraft!
lol just kidding, if i had a nickel for every time I've started one of those arguments...
I think that if I was playing with three of my buddies right now it's for survival to have the same items. Mainly because no matter how hard you try, a game of minecraft will NEVER turn out the same (not just because the world is different). I'll mever forget the moments where its "Hey dude come check out what i just found!", he comes running, and boom, tnt trap. lol
If I had the three friends and the 360 version, I would basically work with them until we create an epic building (Or try to re-create a world wonder) then BLOW IT UP! XD

I am pretty sure you would all enjoy hanging out with me... if you like enjoying games for the games and not for the stupid things. ENJOY YOUR HOUSE; It will be gone soon...
I do like the fact that everyone use's Static's video about Wireless redstone, despite the fact mine was uploaded 12 days before his...
It get's even better when people comment telling me to credit static.
I do see how this is annoying. If I search Wireless Redstone, your video is the very first result that pops up. So I looked further into it.

I think they should change that part of the article, and give xDowsey the credit he deserves, otherwise this would be a real slap in the face to the minecraft tutorial community. *facepalms*

That really is him. Mojang really did beat them, too.
