im not sure i like the food meter or the non survival thing, im also on the fence about the whole leveling system. i think it would be good to have a survival mode and an adventure mode kinda like many games have now that way we can still do the create a new world and just mess with it as much as we want.

Silly people, he is NOT getting rid of suvival! AND the 'Adventure' update is not a new mode, it aims on adding more of an exploration aspect to suviaval mode! Hope this clears up some confusion!

It's the main reason MineCraft is such a top seller.

What!?!?! Come on, guys, Survival is what makes this game fun! This is horrible! Even the videos, like the ones from paulsoaresjr, will render obsolete if there is no survival! I definetely do not support this update whatsoever. UGH!

So its confirmed for a leveling system, and I can say goodbye to good old Survival mode...

Crap! All this time I thought Minecraft Survival would stay as an option to play! We are always going to worry about hunger? and fall into huge dungeons? Who wants that all the time? Why cant they make that another game mode?! Not saying I don't want it, it would be cool in its own game type, but nobody wants it to stick around.

Not to mention I pretty much got scared shitless on easy mode, now that im thinking of playing on normal all the time cause of SMP training they got to add these terrible Endermen/Farlanders! That's worse then a creeper! Its just all one big reason to stay on peaceful...

Not liking the sprinting thing. Mainly the key control for it. I wouldn't want to double tap on accident and screw up something.

Awesome! I can't wait until the Adventure Update! By the way, SURVIVAL MODE IS STILL THERE. THERE WILL JUST BE RANDOMLY GENERATED NPC VILLAGES AROUND THE PLACE. THE REST OF THE ELEMENTS OF THE GAME WILL STILL BE THERE.
