Go Xbox. I think Mojang made a good deal on doing the game exclusively for Xbox.

EXCLUSIVITY IS BAD IN ALL OF ITS FORMS!
Companies buying out rights to a game is never healthy for the growth of a franchise. Games held down to one console/platform limit their relevance and cultural impact in so many ways. While there are definitely drawbacks/obstacles that present themselves while developing for certain platforms, people being paid not to develop for a certain platform is what I consider much worse and unhealthy then choosing for legitimate reasons not to develop on a certain platform. Sure it benefits the companies greatly, and, in times where the game may not be produced otherwise, it is good, but cross platform mutuality should always be the main goal of this industry. Often things like this is what divides a community or communities, and while I acknowledge that many gamers do not participate in gaming communities the same ways others do, I still consider it a misguided choice to allow things like this to happen.
ON ANOTHER NOTE
This whole exclusive title being given to the Minecraft port to XBOX 360 seems preposterous, seeing as, as it has been since day one, the game has and is being developed mainly for PCs running Linux, Mac OS and Windows a like, not to mention it has already rolled into the mobile gaming scene on both Android OS and iOS. Console marketing needs to get their heads out of their asses and realize that they are not considered the only form of legitimate gaming media. All Microsoft has really done is pay for a console in specific not to be able to have the game, about half of the main stream gaming products already had it. While what Microsoft did may turn out to be a good business choice, I still don't agree with it as a mutually beneficial choice for gamers.
Technically Mojang hasn't gone exclusively to microsoft as the Minecraft PE is on Apple (a BIG competitor of Microsoft) products E.G. Ipod Iphone Ipad (I think) and it is playable on a mac pc as well. But most things on Playstation were ported from the 360 (COD included) and not all things turned out good (Black Ops had a lot of glitches in it and still does).
So maybe it is best to be on only 1 console. It is on computer anyway and most people have one and i am certain all of you posting have one (how elsee would you post?)
(I know Apple didn't make the Playstation)
I rest my case.
Many games are built for Xbox for its ore familiar and easy to understand architecture and because of the more reachable limitations of the console, such as, the amount of memory that fits on a disc. When going ,multi-platform the XBOX is the way most developers go because it has the most painless ability to port to both PS3 and PC simple as that. Bugs and glitches are caused due to poor porting. You can't justify reason not to have a game on a console because it may be glitchy, and last time I checked Minecraft was loads simpler a game than many full titles that are released on consoles annually. Glitches would be much easier to fix for this than those in many cases.
Also on another note:
Chances of very many mod support to be added to this exclusive Minecraft release I feel are low due to past releases of products for the Microsoft owned console, that were lacking mod capabilities that other releases were complimented with. Standard texture packs sound possible, but probably any above a set resolution.
Well not really a rage but I think partnering with Microsoft was a fairly bad idea. Why you may ask? Because of the word "Exclusive". Microsoft just LOVES having them, we all know this. But this now means less people would in turn have access to playing Minecraft (not everyones computer can run it to the point of it being bearable).
If Sony had partnered first I can see Minecraft then being released for the Xbox (as I honestly don't see Sony being as uptight about having a game, that is as open-ware as you can get IMO, release for another console).
Not only that but Microsoft already tried to mimic Minecraft using the Xbox Avatars. I can only see Microsoft eventually making Minecraft on the Xbox less of Mojang and more Microsoft by adding in Avatar/Xbox features.
I can see Minecraft integrating well with PS Home. Just saying.

Hope they still do pc stuff and not only concentrate on Console-Exclusive stuff
teqnically, mojang isn't doing damn about the xbla port, just updating the pc version, 4j studios have to deal with the crap of porting lots of java code into c++.
It isn't even out yet and some people are already assuming that it's losing sales. I for one already have the game on PC but would like to have it on xbox because my pc needs an upgrade because of the 1.2 update. I don't agree with exclusives myself and would like cross-console gaming where you would be able to play with a ps3 player on xbox online but that's not gonna happen and that's how this gaming business works. I just can't wait for a company to rise that's gonna totally trump the leaders today and will have cross-console gaming. My point is that if you don't agree with it, then cope with it. It's Mojang's decision in the matter. Oh and to those who are saying that the PC vesion will get tossed away, it wont. I saw a tweet by Jeb replying to someone asking if the PC version will be forgotten and he said that It will always be top priority.
P.S. I'm getting the xbox version to play with my xbox friends but will never abandon the PC version in all its greatness. If I had a Ps3 i would probably stick with the PC and just invest on it instead of raging on something that cannot be changed by pointless rage comments.

How long do you think until Microsoft screws Mojang. Also i got a Ps3 and 360 and i have to say the Ps3 is better and sony > microsoft becuase remember the hacker incident for ps3 sure the network went down for a while but hey we got free games however last i heard some hackers are stealling people's account information on the 360 and buying stuff in their name and what does microsoft do? all they do is say you shouldn't have got it stolen and don't even give them the money they lost from the hackers. Also remember the dreaded 3 red lights of death for the 360? Not to mention that my 360 has crashed way more than my Ps3 and for the Ps3 you don't have to pay to play online while you have to with the 360.
It honestly doesn't matter, minecraft will always be best on the pc, plus, let's see how the xbox live community
reacts to minecraft :DOkay, the guy above my last comment, if you free-online, awesome deals on games, stuff like that, check out Steam man,
steam is honestly the best out of xbox, and sony's online.
Agreed With @ononerayquaza, the PC version will always be superior. By superior, I mean by Versions. Like 1.2.3. The Xbox version might be all the way back in 1.7. You never know. "Best" is kind of Bias. Basicly this whole discussion about "OH ps3 SUCKS" and "Xbox can suck my-" Its all bias.
The thing with steam. It is free, it has some extremely good deals, like Saints Row 2 only 4 dollars. You also get free online, Free - to - Play Games, and a whole community of friends and groups. Even more. But the thing is, Most Xbox and PS3 fanboys will say "Why the ---- wants to play on the computer like a fat ---?!" And that's how people are.
You see guys, people have opinions. People are Bias to Sony, Nintendo, Microsoft, any other major gaming company out there. If they are truly a gamer, they will say they love all the consoles equally. But its not like that anymore. People want to take side on things they think that's better than the other. When in reality, they all have their faults. Its all Bias people, its all bias.
After seeing all these amazing Naughty Dog games for PS3 only, I'm sorta glad Minecraft is 360 exclusive. At least PS3 owners can still play on their PC.

Mojang gets letter from microsoft
"If you make it exclusive, you can put minecraft on 360, and we pay you to do so"
"If you dont make it exclusive, u dont get money or mc on 360"
So why get angry? also 360 is known for having a better arcade, if u want arcade games, u likely have a 360 anyway.
Minecraft however is not an arcade game. I will never consider it an arcade game. It is... well people call it a lot of things. Sandbox, adventure, etc. But I will never be able to come up with a name for it. Minecraft is Minecraft. There is nothing quite like it. However I can say that if the Mojang of Minecraft Indev, Alpha, ha and heck even Beta (well maybe just halfway through beta) was offered more money or whatever the deal was for exclusivity on a single console they would not have taken that path. The Mojang of those days would have done whatever possible to get it on PS3, XBOX360, (muffled laughter) Wii, Nintendo 3ds, PSP, PSVITA, IPOD, IPAD, DS, and of course the best system of all time... THE DREAMCAST!!!!:P Now I realize all these systems were not out during some of the time frames listed but you all get what Im saying, and that is that Dreamcast is probs the best system ever invented. JK:). No but seriously. It was. BACK TO MINECRAFT TALK NOW!!! Like I said the Mojang I used to love (not saying I dont like minecraft anymore. Played it like 15hrs today. Seriously I did) would have never agreed to this. And if Microsoft would have said then you cant be on our system (NOT SAYING THEY DID FANBOYS. DONT FREEK!) then Mojang would have done everything in their power to get it on there. If all else fails they would just say "screw you microsoft" and get it out on all the other ones. Now when microsoft would have come begging for they game they wouldnt have said no or laughed at their faces. No they would have happily handed it over to spread the joy of the game. Thats the mojang I remember. Thats the mojang I miss.
GO DREAMCAST!!!! No but really somebody port it to dreamcast and then post the port in the homebrew section of dcisozone.com
i really like minecraft but i dont have a good computer to play it on so i thought it would be cheaper and also pretty awesome if sony and mojang could team up and make it for the ps3

Xbox has the capacity to do infinite worlds as much as PC. If not, At least until the farlands.
