i dont get why rage of which console minecraft belongs to in the first place? FOR GODS SAKE YOU PROBABLY GOT A COMPUTER! just get of your lazy ass and play minecraft like a really lost homeless person!
I say i doesnt matter what console it would be on cause all of you in the end would go out and buy the dam console and pay even more just to download the game again (even though i wouldnt mind pay again :P)
i think its a very stupid idea for them to let the Xbox be the only console minecraft is on, these days exclusiveness really isnt so effective. It just alienates the other console owners and its like saying "Well sorry playstation owners we really could care less about you" truth is though since the graphics do not look like they are being enhanced at all. My guess is minecraft is going to be much better still on the PC anyways....... but way to go.
I think what this world needs is more collaboration and less competition. With the competitive nature of our society, so many people get left out in the cold. Everything should be free to modify and recreate for non-profit purposes... isn't that why minecraft was so awesome to begin with? Because of the awesome open-source capability it represented? And wasn't it so exciting for this reason that there was so much collaboartion and modifying going on?

In these terms, minecraft on console is the polar opposite of what minecraft on PC is. That will be the same regardless of exclusive rights. We should say - NO MINECRAFT ON CONSOLE WITHOUT FULL MOD SUPPORT. This game represents more than an indie hit - it is representative of a new way of doing things.
First off For everyone who is Worried about Pc version for no updates dont worry 4J Studios is making the Console along side Mojang but not fully the Pc version will update as ussual until the actual release.
Ps3 fan boys Understand Mojang did not decide any part of Ps3 not haveing minecraft it was sony the Creators of ps3 Denied the offer of Minecraft for ps3
Technically Mojang hasn't gone exclusively to microsoft as the Minecraft PE is on Apple (a BIG competitor of Microsoft) products E.G. Ipod Iphone Ipad (I think) and it is playable on a mac pc aswell. But most things on playstation were ported from the 360 (COD included) and not all things turned out good (Black Ops had alot of glitches in it and still does).
So maybe it is best to be on only 1 console. It is on computer anyway and most people have one and i am certain all of you posting have one (how elsee would you post?)

I'm not a PS3 fanboy (I actually think it has some horrible weak points), but Microsoft is screwing us all over. Doesn't Mojang realize they'd get a lot more money if they didn't get locked into this exclusive deal. I will never buy a Microsoft product again except Flight DLC. And I'll get those points from a generator or something. Selfish little idiots.

thats a bold statement when you consider that consoles, as a whole, ARE the video game industry.
Indeed, the PC is a console as well. its a Platform that cam play games, its a platform with a member base.
But yes, the preference of one platform over another is whats ruining. Not the platforms themselves
normally I'd type up some off the wall snarky remark, but I'm gonna let you figure out why this statement is wrong.
