A few bugs that I found are that alot of various tags that are on some pages don't display correctly. Also I'm still experiencing a bug with Curse Network server at capacity, but not as often as before.
all the pics and links r broken, fix this plz!!!!! and dont say tht the author of the topic has to fix it, the person tht "upgraded" this software has to fix it!!!!!!
Why did you guys even mess with the forum?!? The old layout was perfectly fine!

It seems that png. avatars dont load when viewing them from the forum. My avatar was png. and when i looked at my posts in the forum it just showed that little picture of the page with shapes on it that it shows when a picture fails to load. I switch it to a jpeg. and it works fine although the picture quality is significantly worse.
Some topic's bbs code isn't work!!
And quick reply column hasn't been clear after post.
This is exactly what I'm experiencing with my own Texture Pack thread, Glimmar's Steampunk'
I realize this is early days yet after the big change to the Minecraft Forums. However, all content in my thread in the (Texture Pack Section) is not displaying properly. All formatting codes are being ignored throughout as are all images. My entire thread is just a mass of codes!
This is not just an issue for me...other visiters to my thread have commented. This problem appears the same in my IE browser and Google Chrome.
The timing of these changes seems somewhat misguided, considering they coincide with a massive Minecraft Update.
Other texture pack threads seem to be displaying fine, so I would appreciate some help in getting my content back up and running. Then users can download the latest version of my pack for the much anticipated 1.2 Update.
Using the arrow keys to edit your text and navigate with the text reply box after quoting someone does not work. It just scrolls the page up/down.
This is exceptionally annoying.
The "posting" feature is also not working correctly, sometimes your reply will be posted, other times it will act like it has been posted, show that on your end, but the post will be nowhere to be found.
Glimmar, I got my topic to display just fine after clicking edit, and just saving changes even though I didn't do anything different. It turned out 90% perfect, as post centering is broken, and it was vital to the layout... Whatever. Hope I could help.
They've clearly stated that they spent MONTHS testing this stuff. MONTHS. Of hard testing.
Therefore: every "problem" we're seeing right now is in fact "Working As Intended", by their own statements.... unless their testing department consists of a room full of third-graders.
This whole update is basically a gigantic Screw You to all their users. Very professional, Curse. Very competent. Well done.
I second this. Many people in the texture pack community used this section for extra information such as the theme of the pack or updates. Removing this is detrimental to the community. Honestly who cares when the thread was made. If you need that information look at the first post. It doesn't need to show under the thread title.
Seems like a lot of things have changed, some for the best, others not so much. This thread serves as a reminder towards what can be improved.
First of all the avatars are the biggest issue but according to Alexia that will be fixed in the near future.
Moving on:
The new posting layout in general seems a bit clunkier than the past one, things were simply slicker. The name fonts are too big right now to the point that there's some clipping issues as seen here:
-snip-
Some BBcode seems to be broken as seen here:
-snip
The general aesthetic of the posts seems a bit off, in the past we had the quote buttons to the right (IIRC) and the report to moderator under the avatar in its own header. It made things cleaner looking and more easy to the eye, now all the 3 buttons are meshed together in the center of the post making it more untidy and diverting attention from the post, this is more noticable in short posts:
-snip
An idea would be putting the report button under the avatar again and the other ones to the right. If that's even possible.
Regarding profiles, where did the comment section even go?
Creating new topics seems more constricted, you have a tiny box to write your topic, in comparison to the previous one its a big change for the worse as seen here:
-snip-
This clipping in the post title also seems weird and is throwing my OCD off:
-snip
The avatars and profile pictures traded each other for some reason so my avatar is now my profile picture as seen here:
-snip
Another thing is the icons for pinned threads. We can't tell which is which so far:
-snip
Good things:
This thing right here is awesome and needs to stay. It makes quotes so much easier and less clumsier:
-snip-
The profiles are generally improved even though I can't find the comment section for the life of me so I'm guessing it was removed.
The profiles really are great can't state that enough, they look much slicker than previously, I really like the About Me popping up right when you go to someone's profile, like a little bio.
The layout is an improvement in general, feels more stylized and slicker yet simplified (which isn't necessarily a bad thing.
I'm quoting this because it was useful feedback and I want to make sure it gets seen.
On another note I have been running into something annoying since the update yesterday. I read through this thread to make sure it hadn't been reported and lo and behold it hadn't.
Occasionally an ad will appear in the quick reply box. I have ads enabled because I believe in supporting websites I visit and some ad companies do not count people who use ad blocker. The problem is that whenever an ad appears in the quick reply box I cannot input text. This is only a minor problem because I can still reply through the reply button at the top. However, this is a bug that needs fixing.
In case you need a visual of what I am talking about here it is.
