Wow! For me, the height limit now up to 256 is a great thing (I like to build huge and tall buildings (towers); it should have been done before. With the mods I'm using, I may never be able to benifit this nice addon, cos' I'm still working in my first and only map. That's the big problem for me (I past the last 15-16 months living in my Minecraft world). It is very tough to follow. Well, I will wait to see what the modders will do; I wish to continue this map with the same mods and with all the Minecraft 1.2 (or next update!) can offer to my world. (but sincerely, it's nice that Minecraft evolves, but there's too much changes when you play from the beginnig... it's tough to continue my work... I remember the days when I play classic games (there were no such updates). It is nice, don't get me wrong, cos' we discover new stuffs and addons everytime, but for reliability, it's something else! I wanted to share my thoughts, thanks!
i had some kind of issue where i spawned in a jungle biome (new world) and then, as i explored the jungle, i noticed that it just had too many ocelots around me all the time. and then i saw there was lots of wolves too... only to realize they were all teleporting to me to wherever i was going (and they weren't even tamed). don't know if this happened to somebody else, but this was pretty annoying for me. i had to kill them all to stop that
since this patch (even with out mods) minecraft just crashes anyone else?
and since i reinstalled (deleted my minecraft folder) fresh , i tried to revert back to minecraft with a 1.1 jar, once again crash on load... this really makes me angry...
Is it me, or does it seem like the redstone light is one of the most useless things ever included in any game at any time? Alright, so you can use it for looks.... Great... what happens when you leave the lights off in a room? That's right... Zombie surprise party! The only thing I can think of as a use, is as a beacon or a signal of some kind. Seriously, let's double the brightness, and then the thing can actually be used where glowstone itself doesn't provide enough light. That's what should have been done in the first place. Speaking of which, it'd be a really cool idea to be able to have different colored lights, you know?
Could you add a link for the Jar, i've been having problems updating for a while and still hadnt managed to DL 1.1 because the auto updater never managed to get past 60% and 1.2 is the same
do a backup of your saves only, then whipe out your whole minecraft folder....then simply go to minecraft.net and re-download it. that's what I did and it got rid of a bunch of lag I was having. Though I also haven't reloaded spc either. but that will give you a fresh copy of everything, After that go to where you backed up your saves and copy then paste those into your new minecraft saves folder...old worlds in new minecraft.

Think about it man, every time they come out with something new, the players create something nifty and useful with it. give it time and I'm sure we'll see lots of new uses for these lights.

The reason to have redstone light is because it makes redstone screens looking better, redsonte light, just like anything else redstone based (maybe except doors) is in the game for ppl to create amazing stuff with
I just started a new world using the 1.2 update....man don't know if I was just lucky, or if the new format creates better worlds, but damn! Spawned in a wooded area next to some open area with TONS of wild grass, lots of water nearby, and Open ruts in the ground that had plenty of coal and iron ore on the surface. I managed to collect at least 128 wood(not wood planks) and had enough coal to make 64 torches and still fill two stoves with 15 coal each. And oh yeah, Lots of cows, pigs, and sheep in the same area....I've never had a world spawn me with sooo much supplies in one area.
Mojang must have made this a huge update because my framereate (which is usually around 31 in 1.1) went to 1 FRAME PER FRICKING SECOND. Mojang better fix this because i thought i had a fair computer in 1.1 but now it can't even run!!
is anyone else having osalotts spawn every 10 seconds in front of them? Im in jungle biome and its rediculous! Literally every 10 seconds one shows up. Sometimes its 3 at a time.
