The new mob is an ocelot. You can both tame and breed them with Raw Fish.
They can be quite evasive when untamed. They also attack chickens.
New Skeleton AI/behavior:
Now avoids sunlight; will either jump in the nearest block of water or get under a shade.
Bug fixes:
Zombies no longer spin intermittently when unable to reach the player.
Player's head in the inventory screen is no longer stationary.
Zombies no longer attempt to leap over fences.
Wolf tail gauge health properly again.
New items:
Fire Charge - Shoots a blaze fireball when loaded in a dispenser. Acts similar to Flint and Steel when held.
Bottle o' Enchanting - Accessible through Creative Mode only; will drop XP orbs when flung.

I'm not sure if this is a bug, you can try it out yourself but you have to be either in creative mode or have TooManyItems mod (yes they have it for the newest screenshot)! First, make a super flat world (not required but easier), next take out 1 block of dirt and replace it with snow. Next, go on the TooManyItems block selection, and select the thin snow block (could also be found in snow biomes or by making snow golems). Take the new fire ball thingy (NOT THE FLINT AND STEEL, ITS NOT THE SAME)! Try placing the fire on the snow, and it will work. It won't go on the thin snow blocks though. Also, why do we need a new fire orb thingy, when we have flint and steel? Perhaps when placed in a dispenser they shoot out fire? Just another thing for you to try, my Minecraft friends...
New discovery! NPC Village Blacksmith's now have chests filled with goodies!
I found one with Iron tools (Swords, Pickaxes, Etc.) Some Iron Armor. (Helmet, Chestplate, and boots, found no leggings) And now for the million dollar find. 8 Blocks of Obsidian already mined were in the chest.
There may be more you can find, too. I kinda...found this on accident while I was rampaging through a village. (Burning it down, killing the villages, stealing wheat, etc)
Also note, I was in a super-flat world. Not sure if this is of any importance, but I was in a super-flat world in creative (I have no mods) so these MAY, or may not be conditional to world type. (I doubt it, though)
I also apologize if someone else reported this first, I was so excited, I jumped right out of my game, and rushed here to report the amazing find without reading all of everyone else's comments.
Now, I'm gonna go back to raiding that village, for fun.
It would be kinda cool if villagers could
A) Have custom skins, like to distinguish girl or boy. Right now they're just squid wards wearing different color robes and aprons. Villagers could have kids that you can train to be your apprentices in hunting, fighting, etc.
C) Trade with you for village stuff: You give them gold ingots, they give you..i dunno, a prayer book (for priest villager)?
D) Could build new buildings depending on how many villagers are in the village.
E) Talk to villagers.

you can do that in 1.1 ... maybe even 1.0.0 .....
