thank you, whoever was the one who made this new stuff in the AI of creepers, villagers, and zombies! minecraft was beginning to lose the "scare the **** out of you" aspect that plenty of us loved!

There is a terrible glitch i noticed in the previous snapshot.
The glitch is: items you craft, or smelt (as far an I know), in multitude, even 2, most of it disappears. E.g. You craft 2 diamond pickaxes. One disappears. That is an excellent example.
It simply disappears from your inventory, never to be seen or used again. Same thing for stacked, crafted, in any way transformed items. You make loads of planks from wood? You are left with less than half, a major drawback in legit survival mode.

im not positive but the program Security Essentials may be the problem instead, it sounds like spyware, has it had pop-ups like this before?

Microsoft Security Essentials is a Microsoft run malware tool you get directly from them. Not spyware, (well not anymore than Windows itself is) The server version probably has code that makes function calls to a subsystem commonly exploited... not uncommon for non-professional programmers to inadvertently do.
creeperfeind: you should be allright but to be careful backup ALL programs and files you downloaded or created onto another cpu or jumpdrive. like kittani said might be a code editting in an area normally left alone a common mistake by anyone that has not studied about commonly affected areas
