Dear Mojang,
Some features I would really like in the next big update (v1.2):

• More, and when I say more I mean MORE backward compatiability with mods. Many people (clue: that includes me...) are very frustrated with needing to wait for mods to update to support new versions. But oh no, too bad, so sad. The mods' development friggin' STOPPED!!! And because Mojang doesn't care at all about doing that up to now, the mods can't run with new versions.
• More support for features of the OpenAL effect extension, like EAX Advanced HD-ish reflection simulations, and some kind of EFX reverb model. Especially for different kinds of liquids, like water, slime, lava (yes, the player needs to be immersed that he's in the hot molten rock until he burns to death)
• Colored dynamic lighting, and maybe a simple type of radiosity that takes the mean color of a block into account then multiplies it with the color of the lights, and the smooth lighting takes care of that like direct lighting.
• Torches, when held, should also cast light, and not just when placed down.
• Maybe add an option for dynamic shadows that use unified shadow and lighting (and will use a Carmack's Reverse-ish beam tracing algorithm).
• Improve the villager AI at last!! It's already enough that the "caveman Squidwards" look goofy - We don't need them to behave goofily as well!

I want you to at least add the former request, the latter ones are all just suggestions.

1- Backward compatibility is just not possible, please stop saying nonsenses. Why would professional developers take a lot of work trying to make the game compatible with simple mods? mods are not official, if you want to play with some unofficial add-ons, just accept the consequences, they owe you nothing.

2- So people complains even more about speed and performance issues? great idea :biggrin.gif:

3- Read number 2 and 4

4- And make the game more like terraria? Why? terraria is based on this and not otherwise.

6- Unimportant, frankly if villagers exist or not it frankly doesn't really affects our worlds, this isn't an RPG, it's a sandbox with RPG stuff.

In other words, sorry, but your suggestions are just quite useless.

I really liked the 1.1 update, even though it didn't have as much new content as many would have liked. In this video I show the new patch, for those of you who haven't seen it yet :wink.gif:

The super flat option is my favorite part of this update but my only gripe is the ground is only four or five blocks thick, including bedrock.

To be honest, I might wait until the next update they come out with because I'm afraid that the major crash bug in 1.1.0 will crash my minecraft worlds completely, and I don't want to lose them. I hope my comment helps out with anyone else that is planning on updating their minecraft to 1.1.0.

I've downloaded the server from minecraft.net, but when I run it, it's still version 1.0.1. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Has anyone else had the problem of mob eggs not working except neutral mobs?

Play on easy, normal or hard difficulity

Hostile Mob Eggs don't work on the Peaceful Mode.

mods are dead. again. beta and alpha all over again.

Only mod working is TooManyItens, already updated.
