If they were going for any semi realism I think it would be a Jaguar. They are what I believe to be cats in the jungle. Tigers and Lions are more so savannah cats.Regardless of realism or what it is I think this jungle biome needs monkeys. Tigers or Jaguars or whatever would be cool too but we definitely need monkeys... and possibly birds.
I know you love letting your imagination fly, but people, let's face it, we don't even know if it's an animal, no one said that, and considering that half (or more) of the mobs in minecraft are not animals, why do you think this one is? just because it lives in the jungle you can't say it's an animal, you simply can't, and this image does not reveal enough to say it is.

Might Be a survivor that hides in the jungles and robs random Travellers that Pass by I know that's alot & it might not Be true but i think it might be some sought of Human Survivor.
