Next, the enchanting. The only problem I really have is that it cost EXP. I would like to hope that rather then in being ^&%$-all random, that it's only random when you're trying to LEARN spells. As you figure out enchantments, you can then use them again as needed.
A use for books! When you learn an enchant, if you have paper in your inventory, you can write it down. Then you can make a recipe book with the paper that you wrote the enchant down on. And then you can remember it!
Wow, enchantment? I'm not adverse to the idea, but I totally was not expecting this. It will be nice to have a functional book in the game Potions, enchanting. . . Is this supposed to be a slap in the face for Bethesda? Haha. (Just kidding. There's probably a thousand games with similar functionality.)
I have RPG that I play, and I have Minecraft. I'd rather keep the two separate and this seems to be blending the two....
But if it's something optional where, I just don't craft the enchantments and nothing happens, I don't mind. What I won't be so happy with would be if some boss is impossible to kill without "magicking" my sword or something--because then I might as well play an RPG.
I like the survivor idea of this game much better, and the adventure is more of making the world yours. But....meh, I'll hold off on judgment until the update comes out.
I do second or third or whatever the idea of a Forge bench that lets enhancements be made without any sort of potion.
don't see whats up with religiony people trying to ruin games for others, if you don't like the game for some reason, either don't play it or don't play that part of it. just cus something doesn't fit with your "beliefs" doesn't mean others wont find it fun. basically the point i'm making is keep your religion out of games, they don't mix well and never have/will.
love the idea cant wait to see it, the forge/anvil/whatever idea to enhance was cool too as well.

i got a texture pack now, its here it changes how armor and tools look and has a few slight changes to a few blocks in terrain like making the redstone torch look more like a redstone torch then a lollipop.
agreed blazerules, there is already plenty of magic, true the player isn't controlling said magic but that doesn't mean its not there already.

I love the idea of the cauldron a bit better but I don't think it really matters. 1.8 was a big update for biomes and monsters. I also like the new experience system and the player menu in 1.9, this update is going to add the bits and bobs that Minecraft was missing and this will improve Minecraft's adventure attidude. I love this new update and I can't wait for the next one. Hopefully Notch will add interactive NPCs and there will be some sort of questing system? I honestly don't know, and don't care. Just as long as Minecraft will continue to be fun and simple for the player. If Notch or Jeb or any coder reads this reply, I just wanted to say Minecraft will be a lot more fun if there where more animals (that are hostile like mobs) like bears, birds (other than chickens, ones that can acually fly), and maybe some ocean animals like dolphins or sharks. I would also like to say that there should be some more ores like bronze. You need stone to get bronze, and bronze to get iron. Those were just some things that I would like to suggest and say about Minecraft.

It is not 1.10 it will be 2.0 instead
For the time it took to get animations for eating and opening a chest, and the last week they have to do this, I would say no.

And books that can be written in would be great.
You'll usually find me in the General Off Topic section. Also quote when you reply so I can see!
