Microsoft: The one company who cannot create a game of their own and has to bribe companies to release it on their system. Come ON! Make an exclusive for once, MS. What? Afraid of actually using those brains for thinking rather than knowing how to copy and paste?
I have a Wii. I haven't decided on what I want to get Xbox or a PS or what not in the coming months. In either case I see no need to buy Minecraft a second time to play it on another platform. I lean towards getting an Xbox with all the new fun they have added but it won't be to play Minecraft :smile.gif:
I wish them luck with it but I own the game. I don't need to own it twice :smile.gif:
I honestly don't think I will buy the xbox version because as one person said it's no point to have a game on two Platforms but if I attend minecon and try it out who knows I may like it on xbox better than on pc and if I do then you can say I told you so.
Mojang recently revealed that Minecon attendees will be able to play Minecraft on the XBox 360 before public release! Minecraft for the 360 is still in heavy development, but Mojang is definitely happy with the game's progress up to this point. Their main focus has been keeping the game's core experience intact while ensuring that it fits on a new platform.
In addition, Microsoft will be joining Mojang at Minecon to participate in the 360 Minecraft preview. Our poll for the day asks: "Are you planning on purchasing the XBox 360 version of Minecraft?" Vote now!
:sad.gif: What about moding will we be able to change the .jar on our pc
I have been reading the thread and I'm quite amused. :smile.gif: I would like to point out that people are correct that Mojang is not developing the version. That means they aren't doing the coding. However, that doesn't mean it doesn't slurp down resources as I am certain the developers working on it have a ton of questions and in the end Mojang is putting their name on the product. They are certainly going to have a say on what is in it or not and that again takes time.
So people are not fully correct in the statement that Mojang isn't developing the product. Yes they aren't re-coding it into a new language (fairly certain the xbox version won't be in java)... but they certainly have to help in the process in explaining how things work, testing, etc... :smile.gif:
I bought it on PC, but I'm going to buy it on Xbox too because even though my laptop has an i5, 8GB RAM, and a SSD, I only get a max of 30fps because my graphics card is nonexistent. Thanks Mojang for broadening the availability of Minecraft for folks like me who can't afford a overpriced gaming computer!

since all call of duty map packs are free on pc... they released later though so that calls it even.

I'll say this once, MOJANG ISN'T MAKING THE 360 GAME!

And he said that... when now? He only said that about steam. Stupid. Mojang can make their own decisions, and this one rocks
