Paying for a game should give access to it on regardless of platform.
I don't think you're thinking this through.
I would think that every game would have to sell for 2X to 4X as much as they do now, because now the programmers/developers have to make a PC, PS3, Xbox, AND Wii version for every game so all the platforms are covered AND provide it each kind of media so you can load it on any platform.
In a Perfect World, all games (or any program for that matter) are written in one language that will work on any PC (regardless of OS) or console. Course, all games must be "adjusted down" so they will work on the console with the least specs :sad.gif:
In the meantime, of course it would be "nice" if you bought a game you could play it on "any" system... but that ain't happening anytime soon.
Fortresscraft isn't anything like minecraft. I know first hand, I have minecraft, fortresscraft, miner, and many other block editors and they are all very different. If anything, TotalMiner is the most like Minecraft.

umm, im not arguing, but for the people who havent got a good enough PC to play MC, or mabye havent got a PC (which is quite unlikely), then that is the point of MC on xbox
Very true. But still, I don't think it was worth getting into bed with Microsoft to allow the dozen or so people who didn't have Minecraft for the PC to play it on their Xbox ^^; Just my opinion, but you are right. xD

What a lot of you need to realize is that the colsoles that support indie development are Nintendo's Wii/DSi/3DS and Microsoft's Xbox 360. Sony is pretty much against Indie games. From there could you imagine trying to play minecraft on a wii? Depending on how they do the cotrols I don't see it being to bad I guess... but the 360 has the required horsepower to actually make the game fun. Though on the 3DS it could be a good platform for the pocket edition >_> but back on topic the 360 has a few things going for it
1: indie support
2: a massive market of players (don't get on me sony fanboys... there are more xbox players than you that play online)
3: security of the systems seems better than PS3 (the playstation network getting hacked multiple times)
So say what you will... that's all I will say on the matter.
Minecraft (Mojang, Microsoft Studios): Known for its limitless possibilities, Minecraft will come to life this winter in a whole new way through the magic of Kinect and also feature cross-functionality between the PC and Xbox 360 versions.this is from xbox.com
3,884,294 Bought the game so far (10/24 2011) He made more than 50 Million US Dollar.. - I agree with you, if he really did it only because of the money he would be just like everyone else :dry.gif:
What's wrong with wanting to make money? This is his full-time job!
Why is everybody getting so mad that Notch is doing things to try and make more money like seriously >_>

But this looks like a good opportunity for people who want to play Minecraft but have suckish PCs.
