Mojang recently revealed that Minecon attendees will be able to play Minecraft on the XBox 360 before public release! Minecraft for the 360 is still in heavy development, but Mojang is definitely happy with the game's progress up to this point. Their main focus has been keeping the game's core experience intact while ensuring that it fits on a new platform.
In addition, Microsoft will be joining Mojang at Minecon to participate in the 360 Minecraft preview. Our poll for the day asks: "Are you planning on purchasing the XBox 360 version of Minecraft?" Vote now!
I have a 360, I have a PC. I buy PC games, such as Minecraft. They're also available on the 360 but I don't buy them. Why? There isn't really much point since PC's are better overall than 360's have ever been ^^;
But yeah, to avoid a platform war quote:
I wouldn't buy the 360 version because I already have it on PC. I'm not really going to buy another version of Minecraft purely to pad out my good-console-game kleptomania.

If by bought you mean I get both the PC and Xbox versions of Minecraft for one account, yes. However if you meant I have to pay another $20 plus or minus, for a game I already own, then nope, not getting it.
if they invested the time on PC, not on XBOX the game was even better than it is.
Mojang isn't developing the XBOX version, only overseeing it.
And I will buy it, I prefer the mouse control but I don't have a gaming PC, so the XBOX version will be superior for me (if it is close to the PC version like they say, and not like the mobile version).
EDIT: And the news isn't late, they announced this on the home page a while ago. This post is to say that MineCon attendees will get to play it
3,884,294 Bought the game so far (10/24 2011) He made more than 50 Million US Dollar.. - I agree with you, if he really did it only because of the money he would be just like everyone else :dry.gif:
Wrong, he has to do it for the money because Mojang is a developing company, AKA a actual corporation so they need to make a income. As with all businesses, their "need" for income or revenue increases each time they count the muneh.
So they might go: "We need to earn more to pay off our development cost"
Then they will go: "We need to earn more to pay off our staff"
Then they will go: "We need to earn more so we can go buy some new stuff"
The excuse is endless really...
Look at EA games and see how they turned out from the start... Their greed got bigger and bigger until they got a incredibly FAT EGO.
If they didn't attempted to hire too many people to develop a single game, and only hired 1 professional programmer for that, then they would probably saved and not need to make extra money.
But nooo, they had to hire 200 programmers for a single game.
Reasons why this is a bad idea:
1. Playing minecraft with an analog stick
2. Microsoft is the biggest of control freaks. The game will cost at least 1600 MS points ($20 US) and any other additional content will cost money in addition to that. Notch's comments about not putting minecraft on steam implied they will be selling dlc such as capes. Microsoft has control over the prices of dlc. And they are always over-priced
3. Ever played a game like TES: Oblivion on console? When Minecraft mod API is released, who is going to want to play vanilla?
tl;dr Minecraft was designed around pc and Microsoft is ****. I'm not buying.

Also, this trailer told us NOTHING.

i expect much much better performance.
Enjoy your vanilla Minecraft that's unmoddable and stuck on the default texture pack and skin.
Net_Bastard's Epic Low-res! As much awesomeness that you can cram into a 5x5 texture pack, and then some!
