Definitely getting it seeing as I play Minecraft on a laptop that's meant for business stuff and not gaming. So, MC on the Xbox will be beneficial to me. Don't care much about having mod support on Xbox, however it would be quite nice.
I want the pocket edition for my tablet, but that's for Minecraft on the go. Unless the XBox version has something which warrants purchasing it, really it would be like purchasing the Sims on a console when you own in on PC. The XBox version just isn't going to be as powerful or expansive as the PC version. Or as another parallel, even if it were the same game, like the Elder Scrolls, you'll be missing out on the whole modding community.
I think this is better for people who don't have Minecraft, or have yet to have been exposed to it. I'm sure there will be a lot of people who like it but I don't see a purpose right now.
I would like to see Notch give everyone who bought mine-craft on PC in beta get a free code for Xbox beacause I have one and I don't see why we would have to pay twice when we helped FUND the despoilment of the game without us beta testers mine-craft would still be Beta 1.3. Also minecraft was spread out though youtube and community not ads or anything I say we should get a free code for Xbox.

Well I still had a blast with Oblivion on the Xbox, it certainly doesn't mean the game isn't enjoyable. I have since upgraded my PC and am now happily playing Oblivion.
In my opinion playing with analog sticks make the game more fun. It gives a more hands on experience than playing with a mouse. No matter how much more accurate a mouse will be I think I will always prefer a controller. That and I have quick access to buttons without having to find 1 button on my keyboard when it is dark.
Microsoft does not set the prices for games the developers do. Minecraft costs $20 normally. And Again developers set DLC prices aswell. The reason DLC is expensive on other things is because companies like Activision are getting greedy and every year they bring it up a little more.
Also the Modding API is already out and you obviously don't realize that because you have probably never seen the source code of minecraft. On top of all that Vanilla minecraft is more fun because you actually get to play. Using SPC and World edit ruined my minecraft experience and multiplayer is what I play now becuase of that, Also now there won't be any hackers on SMP becuase xbox requires some effort to crack which is something 90% of minecraft users don't have.
I think this port is going to be a great business and gaming decision but then again everyone is entitled to their own opinions and if you are going to argue your side at least use accurate information.
No one noticed it? REALLY?

online should be free like pc and ps3??
paying extra for membership sucks
Mine would be: Why? I have it for PC.
I don't have a 360 and it's definately not worth getting a 360 for as good as it is.
PC is.... free? Since when?
on pc you online have to pay for your internet download, same with PS3.
on Xbox you have to pay for the internet download AND Membership to play online :sad.gif:
thats the reason i bought a ps3
