Honestly i thought this was one of the less good halloween textures, its alright but there were many others which were far more detailed and looked far better.

Your submission was a modified version of a pack you already made, why can't mine be? Or is it the loyal following part you have a problem with? I'm sorry that I'm so loved. Don't feel bad. I've always made people jealous of how popular and respected I am. Tell you what, let's do a trade! I'll teach you how to win friends, and you teach me how to make textures for my next masterpiece. though i agree with a lot of people here, some of the other packs were much nicer (and large than 256 pixels), the over use of orange looked a little desperate. Would of been cooler to place small orange plants (moss?) on the grass texture than just orange grass. or even bones amongst the grass.
Croco15's Grim Pack was the best, for me realistic(ish) and creepy.
I LOL at the people wanting a 256x pack to win....oh fine you didn't use google images but you also didn't make those textures yourself by hand like Joli did pixel by pixel, it has style every 256x REALISTIC pack I've seen ALL LOOK THE SAME....no style unless they hand draw it...and guess what most 256 packs don't thats why they get labled with GOOGLE IMAGE PACKS b/c thats exactly what they look like.
Congrats Joli, I'm happy that TRUE SKILL was recognized.

I liked GRIMS to but it wasn't completely done and it felt more RPG then Halloween.
I somewhat agree with elementis; joliween also isn't spooky enough in my opinion. The other beef (yes I know thats actually pork) I have with these results is that jolicraft was the first one on the list, and the second one got the second most votes. You should put the poll at the BOTTOM of the page, so that voters would be forced to read the whole thing instead of going, "Oh! I like normal jolicraft! That looks like a good one!" and voting for the first one they see. (While this is a natural line of thought, it is not a very logically sound one).

I'm sorry, but one screenshot (and a not very appealing screenshot at that) does not do this "winner" any justice. Likewise, little more than a link to the download was unhelpful. If something was so great as to win a contest, I would think that it would deserve to be shown off a little better.

So you didn't use any photo's to make your textures your telling me you did it from complete scratch...no pictures involved like Joli? If so your full of crap. This grass smells to high heaven of not being made by hand

If you would bother to actually read the OP of that pack I clearly state that I do use photos for certain things, however, every photo used was taken by me with my camera and manipulated in gimp.
Whats the difference between that and google images?
Mine are my own art, not someone else's? Really, you are being childish about this. Just because I use my own photos doesn't mean it doesn't take skill. I challenge you to make a better realism pack. Not that I'm saying mine is the best, which I am not, but so that you can see it isn't easy.
