Did you even read the article? you can get it manually from the launcher, unless you have an illegal version, which (im thinking) if you have to ask where the DOWNLOAD button is, you probably are using a free version. :idisapprove:
I'm dissspointed. i still play 1.8 because 1.9 coverers my entire world in ice. i play 1.0 for 5 minutes and already 1/2 of my oceans are frozen. if there was any way to disable ice from spawning i would love 1.0... but as of now i can live without potions and sounds.

Well, they did add new sound, plus bug fixes. Don't worry they will still update it.

- API is still missing
- NPCs are still useless
- I haven't tried it yet, but I doubt there's still no real way out of the Endgame.

Problems I've found (common?)
-Numerous servers I try to join give me "Server has responded with invalid server key" at least 5-6 time until I can actually get in.
-Mod/texture support STILL doesn't work, at least not on mac.
-Enderdragon is glitchy as hell, doenst make any noise, and doesn't die.
-NPCs Do NOTHING
