Remember, the reason the game still isn't full price is because is so that we can help Mojang iron out bugs. If you're using 3rd party mods... You're not really helping Mojang at all, are you?
Well, I've found something that I'm sure only appeared in this latest Pre-Release...
Terrain generation is bugged. Specifically, biome transition areas don't occur. It just cuts off from elevated sand dune to WHAM sea-level ocean. It's like whole chunks just... fail to generate. Is there any way to patch the melon-drop glitch in pre-release 4? Because this is so ugly, I'm considering rolling back...

GENERATION 24: The first time you see this, copy it into your sig on any forum and add 1 to the generation. Social experiment.
The annoying part is that we have to manually install these. Why can't they just update automatically, like they do for all other updates? Some people don't know how to install these. I do, though, but it's a pain...

oh how I loath the extenuating process of "installing" a Pre update.
I can't believe how many people complain about these updates. Then again if they didn't update anything after 1.8.1 and said no more releases till Nov 18, then they'd complain about wanting updates.
Just think of it this way: The "pre-release" is the pre-release of the full final version (That will be out on Nov 18). X_X

It's never really been a code freeze. It's a feature freeze. It's (almost) entirely bugfixes and optimizations until the release.
