I can't wait to walk out of college at my ceremony and have the guy say "And here is our one and only person who got the Minecraft PHD, I am happy to present, Dr. Steve!"
May I ask how Minecraft could possibly be used as a teaching aide?
Ok, so minecraft can be a worthwhile tool in the following ways.
-Studies on Humanities
-Studies on Sociology (not so much psychology)
-Art
-Mathematics (you would be amazed how much math really is in minecraft)
-Basic understanding of the Metric System
-Hell, with custom editions you can add a lot more where even some science classes could be taught.
-Maybe, History if someone did a remake of certain things
...OH...MY.............GOOD-MC.-GRAVY!!!!! this is sooooooo cool, too bad I'm home schooled...oh wait...that's a good thing. but still, Minecraft as a school subject!!!
I can see it now... "son have you done your minecraft yet?" "still working on it!"

If you look at the website, it seems like a more fun and creative way to hand out assignments, and also it seems that they are using it as kind of like a extra curriculum type of thing for the students to get more involved with teachers and Vice versa.
unless teacher messed with it to much.....
This is indescribable gawd!, i never, NEVER though of this happen to minecraft, this is way to far!
