Dudes and dudettes... there's like, these glass towers. They touch the sky, man. It's zen. And if you dig down, they lead to Strongholds!! Wow man... that's far out.

Has anyone stopped to think that maybe, JUST MAYBE, these glass towers are the "DEBUG PILLARS" that Jeb is talking about in his tweet earlier today??
I think you're right, at least in my world the crystal blocks are spawn in a horizontal portal shape, especially when you restore the small crystals with the eye of ender :S also mine spawned above a pool of lava that looks man made...
I loaded up a test server and this is how the map loaded -
These are not lag holes, its almost as if its floating islands because I can go under them as you can see from the pictures. These pictures are from where I spawned.
Cool now only if they would fix the normal servers so I could at least download 1.8.1.. Been waiting for them to be fixed for over 26 hours and before anyone says they are fine backup your .minecraft folder then try downloading the game. I bet you can't
I'VE FOUND OUT HOW TO FILL IT WITH WATER! MAKE A CAULDRON BY MAKING A U OUT OF IRON INGOTS IN THE WORKING BENCH! THEN GET A BUCKET OF WATER, RIGHT CLICK, THEN RIGHT CLICK WITH THE EMPTY BOTTLES
Okay, so here's what we know about the new dimension and what things may pertain to it, to compile all our thoughts on this together:
1. There is a new realm, somewhere, somehow. there is definitely a second level.
2. Crystal blocks, which are found in strongholds, have an almost perfectly inverted texture to obsidian, which is the material for the level 1 portal.
3. Flint and steel can be enchanted, with no current effect.
4. Antimatter could possibly be the medium of transport.
5. These glass towers, whether on purpose or not, point out strongholds.
Now, im off to experiment and see what I can find out about these things..
