Something of note here, using the brewing stand, start with a water bottle, brew netherwart, ghast tear, and glowstone dust, in that order for a level 2 healing potion
It's awesome but there's one bug: for some reason tall glass towers that are as tall as the height limit keep generating naturally in every new world I create. I don't know what causes this bug.
im trying to make a server i have the jar but i need help starting it with enough RAM. i type that code thingy in a notepad and name it start.bat i put it in the minecraft_server.jar and i try to start it and it closes ... please help if you know what im doing wrong... thanks
I posted earlier about pic of the new dimension. I figured out how to get it to generate and have some better pics where you can see the switch between the regular world generation and the aether generation.
I can only get this to work in SMP currently. I first edited my player.dat file into dimension 1 from 0 (-1 Nether) using a program call NBTedit. You can find that program somewhere on the forum here.
I then explored pasted the mirrored world data from dimension 0 and the new terrain generated show in the pictures above. It works best if you start a new map so you don't have to explore far in dimension 1 to get the new terrain to generate.
I wish more was known about the black stuff. Don't really want to run into it when it seems to have no purpose right now. What does it currently do? Just sit there looking strange? I know there's a youtube video about it but my comp is being too laggy to run it properly right now.
Well, Tyharo, what I heard was the roar from it. I made a shelter underground. I used the seed I normally do and blocked off a cave. It was just a huge roar that was right on top of me. Honestly what I'm thinking now is that it was the Enderman's new noise
-7763738212821210847 This seed will spawn you in between two pillars DIRECTLY on top of a stronghold complete with portal crystal things and silverfish spawner.
People keep asking questions that are already answered.
The glass towers are a debug system used to mark Strongholds on the map, so that they're easy to find while testing.
Also, the black glowy stuff is the portal animation, those world generation bugs are not bugs, but Skyland biomes added in. Both are just randomly tossed in to tease us and make us talk about it.
The crystals in the Strongholds can be repaired and used to create the portal to the new world, which will either be a Skylands type thing, or a whole other planet based around the Enderman.

Apparently the two dimensions use the same save data files and one will overwrite the other if you go to that location in the other dimension.
I usually hate that kind of posts but:
They are never going to be able to implement all that stuff without bugs for the release.
It's usually just Jeb tinkering away at Minecraft, after the 18th, they're not making anymore feature updates, and are just focusing on bug fixing and nothing but bug fixing until the release date with all the Minecraft related guys they have.
guys i found this huge strange glitch where i get a swamp biome and some weird glass 1 by 1 towers which reach from bedrock to the top of the map.Can anybody explain this?
those are debug towers, if you find one, there will be a stronghold under it.
most likely that will be the aether portal, since it looks like the crystal blocks are rumored to be the aether portal mainframe. but that's my speculation
