If TinfoilHate really doesn't play minecraft anymore and won't even get the invite, then seriously, give it to someone who will actually appreciate it and use it (not me, I don't have time).
Do some random lucky dip and pick out another winner. Really. Come on.

Yo, click the green plus thingy at the bottom-right if what I've said helped you.
0 posts, last activity April 22nd, 2008, born January 1st, 1902 (109 years old, clearly legit)...This is either rigged, or you clearly didn't even check who the winners were before finalizing your picks.
They clearly didn't want anyone to claim first place so they picked the least active member. They just saved about $1000 bucks.
Until a staff member who was directly involved in the contest responds, I'm going to go ahead and assume that this was either rigged, whoever picked it (If it's random, you still need to check who the winners are for eligibility) is stupid, or it's a scam like Primez said.
I'm not saying it IS one of those, but until it's proved otherwise, I'll consider it one of those.
Wow, good thing it was announced so obviously, and that they left a large window of time to register. NOT
I check the forum on a daily basis, this contest came completely out of left wing. Can someone please post a link to the original article promoting it?
Actually I'd go as far to say they did an absolutely ****-poor job promoting this. Maybe if they'd actually made an effort, then intel would have gotten better ad exposure, minecraft would have sold more accounts, and the community would have had a chance to get in on this.
Think about it.
Maybe he just randomly entered the contest, like a hobo would enter a contest if he could.
Probably not, Still think it's a scam.
Just a possibility :smile.gif:
Not only was it announced, there was also a very large time-window to enter, darkbrewery.
Everyone hating on the winner, it wasn't about posts and such. The contest was either buy Curse premium, or mail in an entry. He won. 'Nuff said. Wish I got more than a t-shirt, but congrats to the winner! :]
Tobymon3393: How do you randomly enter a contest that requires you to purchase a premium account for a network of sites? Also, dulceice, where did it say you could mail in an entry? I just looked back at the very first announcement for this, and it said nothing of the sort.
@TDWP_FTW: There was definitely the option of a Mail-In Entry. I will attest to this because that's how I entered. Although yes, it wasn't stated on the announcement post, it was however stated on the Curst.net Advertisement Page for the contest.
