favorite things were the addition of survival, and then having what was necessary in order to indeed survive.
i played classic a few hours over 2 or 3 days but soon grew tired of it, but as soon as i saw a let's play video of someone huddled in a tiny, quickly-made house with nothing but a wooden sword and 4 torches, and a spider looming outside the window- minecraft turned from a game i didn't want to play even for free into a game i had to buy.
Really? i think minecraft has a lot more room to improve. Im quite dissaponted with this, them not adding any more stuff.
If the freeze means that once Minecraft drops the "Beta" label, they're done updating the game, then yeah, I agree. There are hundreds of amazing mods out there that add features that wouldn't break the game and would make building and living in Minecraft-land a lot more fun, and a good majority of them aren't even massive changes, they're simple stuff like redstone-powered lights. Mojang keeps updating the game, but the Adventure update was supposed to be this massive, game-changing thing, and really, it didn't change all that much from my perspective. The new stone blocks are cool, but ultimately, all I really got was a few new textures to build with. I feel like there are modders out there who have done more singlehandedly to improve the game and add new features than the whole Mojang team has. They just seem to make substantially more progress in the same amount of time.
