My favorite is... everything up to 1.7 and about half of what is in 1.8 and 1.9.

But I prefer to play on a server, so I don't plan to use it much until it gets released and at least SpoutEssentials/Spoutcraft and a couple of other critical server plugins support it.

Wait, does this mean no more mods? If what you can add to the code is being restricted, then what will happen to them?! I'd say around half of the MC community is just modders! But, my favorite add to the game is the enchanting table!

I can't tell you about many other people's Minecraft experience, but mine started in Beta 1.2_02. I've seen many of the recent updates, and I have to say, I can't wait to see what Mojang has in store for us next.

well... its been a long and fun ride, but now the minecart of updates will come to an end, just like all great things. But, this means that there will end up being more players after its released for real, and THAT means more people to play with and more friends to make. With the release, a new minecart of enjoyment for years to come will begin.

guys dont worry about lack of updates people will make mods and with the released version you can count on better mods and dont have to wait for your favorite mods to update(:

Will this affect the making of mods?

What is everyone complaining about? It's about time! Actually, it's way past time in my opinion. At least I won't have to update my texture pack as often. Also, it's not going to affect mods at all.

I hope minecart sounds are added.

Began minecraft in beta 1.2_02 so I saw quite a bit of change. My favorite part was the ability to play multiplayer, creative mode and the strongholds.

I do not want potions, dragons, skills, levels, experience or food bar. So dumb. I will remain playing 1.73.

Because, you know, you CLEARLY cant just ignore them while playing the current version. Obviously, you HAVE to make potions, for instance, or your guy catches on fire after an hour of game time.

Really, the only one you cant COMPLETELY ignore is the food bar, and in all honesty, THAT is there to balance the game and stop stupid heal-spam. If you NEED to heal-spam to survive, well.... time to learn the game better instead, perhaps.

"So dumb" is ignoring all of the new stuff because it "sounds like an RPG" or some dumb crap like that, particularly without even trying and experimenting with it.

Looooove the creative mode I started playing it sinse beta and so for I'm really impressed. Notch has outdone himself and I'm looking forward to,well everything.

It has been amazing but this is a horseshit hole of news he lays on us. If 1.9 is the last update I will quit... he didn't even add that much stuff to it, no new weapon animations, new acid liquid not added, and no new weapons, new mobs he did add can be slightly odd.. like the testicates.. all they do is sit in the dang houses... it would be cool to have people that sell stuff to you, and add a currency to the game sorta like Terraria like Copper Coins and stuff... people have all these good Idea's and half the modders out there don't even make them... like the Ender Realm is so small when it should be 10 times bigger and have more then just white stone in it and obsidian is a normal realm type so it shouldn't be in there... I personally think that dragons should shoot fire streams at you... and there should be magic spells and a dual wielding system. like a secondary hand thing in the top right corner, where you could but a shield or something like to be honest notch if you dont update it anymore you've made a massive mistake I mean over 2million people buy this epic game of creativity and fun and don't get any of what they expected in return... that's pathetic anyway I guess I needed to vent somewhere, I doubt he'd read this anyway.. but if he does I hope he understands... anyway peace!
