Halloween is tomorrow, and this week's Content Contest for a themed texture pack is in full swing! What could be better for getting into the spirit of the holiday? How about Kodaichi's Halloween Mod? This hefty mod boasts a number of features, including:
Candy!
Candy can be found throughout the night, and comes in five different flavors. Can you collect all five and combine them for a special treat?
A sinister pumpkin mob!
This clever critter looks and acts just like any other pumpkin - unless you get too close!
Halloween-only Creepers!
More than just a re-skinned creeper, these night terrors have something special inside!
Zombie Hands!
Zombies in the ground? Yes! Taking a page from classic zombie horror movies, these clever monsters have an entirely new angle of attack - you may never see them coming!
Witches!
She has a number of special abilities, but we won't spoil the surprise for you...they will reveal their true power if discovered!
Curses!
Six different curses eagerly wait to make your character tremble in fear! Each curse is based off of a canon Minecraft monster, with a unique effect on every curse!
Trick-or-treaters!
These wandering NPCs want candy almost as much as you do! What happens if you give them some? You'll just have to try it and find out!
Additionally, there is a special, rare item that can be crafted, if you're able to gather the right ingredients...what does it do? How do you get it? You'll just have to try the mod out for yourself to find out! Each mob is specifically designed for the holiday, with custom appearances, behavior and more. This mod is perfect for getting into the spirit of Halloween - give it a try for yourself!
I love Kodaichi's mods in general, this one is pretty cool and really fits the holiday theme.
So many options for different ways to make a mob and how it relates to the environment and the player. A piñata mob that is invincible but can be popped to release massive amounts of loot? :biggrin.gif:
The people who go to the trouble of making and coding all these novel interactions should seriously be tapped for future DLC material. And handsomely paid for it, of course.
