They need more health and damage
and as said above a couple times.. maybe they work in packs more.. So when one gets attacked they all help team up on the attacker
I think the ender pearls need a use...
You should make tools and armor with them! you could then wear the armor to make all enderman within a certain radius (increased with more of the set) be not hostile...
-also, it would be much more fun if the enderman could intelligently place stolen blocks (i.e. if he steals your TNT, you better hope there isn't a fire nearby) and use basic items (already lethal enderman with a bow and a sword? SOUNDS LIKE A GOOD TIME!!!)
i know some stuff seems really unfair but this is the mob that made the bed intruder song POSSIBLE! Your gonna need to hide yo kids, hide yo wife, and hide yo husband cuz he's rapin e'rybody out there!!
I think they should make a really creepy noise like a whisper or a screaming noise and as soon as you attack one they open their mouths like they do and they make this screaming sorta thing and just charge at you but if you stare at them then look away they will slowly walk towards you and make creepy noises and when you turn around they freeze again etc
I don't think Endermen are supposed to pick up blocks placed by the player, but they have been for me. I agree they are still not what I thought they could have been.
Just a few more fun ideas... what if we keep Endermen exactly as they are now, but change how they interact with the environment. Specifically...
Creepers have an 'area of effect' of up to 32 squares. A random effect is picked when the Endermen spawn, with "none" being a possible option. Area effects include:
1) Creation of "ghost chambers" - these appear to be subterranian open spaces, which may include abandoned mines or stronghold rooms, chambers containing Nether portals and so on. When a player (or indeed any mob) attempts to enter the ghost chamber it vanishes - the 'true' chamber is 1 wide, 1 deep and 3 high, with all other spaces actually being terrain generated in accordance with the depth of the chamber.
2) Endermen can cause dungeons or portal chambers to spawn. This is a RARE spawn, but it means you can't always be sure whether what you see is real or not.
3) Endermen can cause a "spook" to spawn when you mine a block near to them. A spook is a mob (zombie, spider or silverfish) that cannot be killed, but will automatically despawn after a few seconds.
4) Endermen can randomly replace blocks with an alternate texture. These can include making cobblestone look like diamond, making diamond look like cobblestone, making iron look like gold, or making any material look like an Enderman head. This alteration continues for a random amount of time before resetting. If a rock is mined, the proper ore is given (ie: cobblestone "replaced" by diamond gives cobblestone. Diamond "replaced" by iron gives diamond).
5) Killing the Enderman causing the bizarre effects ends them immediately.
Dude thats Long i dont have room right now Though :]
To be honest, Most of your ideas are pointless... Especially since you post them here.
Notch is most likely not going to go and read everyone's posts, and then be like OOOO me likey!
Just felt like saying that..
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Girl, if you were a Pokemon, I'd catch you with a love ball. ;D
Alright, let's get some of the groundwork done here; what is "creepy"?
Let's begin with a big yell here:
CREEPY =/= OVERT DANGER!
Think about it - most horror movies don't show much about the Evil Monster. The best ones don't even show the monster at all until about 5 minutes before the end. Why? Because it's much scarier when we don't know what it is we're dealing with.
Endermen are no different. Endermen cease to be creepy the moment they do anything. If they attack, that's not creepy. If they steal blocks, that's just ****ing annoying.
But what if... what if looking at the Endermen did things. Imagine; you look at an Enderman, and he stares back. Then you look away... and he's gone. Then, just beyond the next hill... you start hearing Ghast sounds.
Imagine how much that would scare the ever loving **** out of most people! It's broad daylight, in the OVERWORLD, and you can hear a Ghast!
So where is it? Who knows... you never actually spot it, but that Endermen is always around somehow. You see him out of the corner of your vision, watching you... but when you turn and face him he's gone again.
As you go on, things get worse. Torches start going out for no reason; deep below the earth, down at Lava Lake level, you're suddenly plunged into pitch black. You hear a clank of bone, the groan of a zombie, the hiss of a Creeper that is RIGHT BEHIND YOU!
...and the light comes back. It wasn't real. Then you hear HIM; the Enderman, somewhere just beyond the next wall...
That is how you scare people. The Endermen never hurt you - not directly. What they will do, however, is so fear and dischord, because one day the torches will go out and you'll think "Oh, great, another Enderman mindscrOHMYGODTHATCREEPERISREALTHISTIME!!!!"
Boom.
Ridding yourself of the Enderman's curse will soon become a priority, because the alternative is never being able to feel safe ANYWHERE ever again.
that sounds like fun!!! We need a mod for it first for notch to see how awesome it is...
I can't belive the only change will be health and damage, this just makes it a normal creep such as zombies. I belive the best way to fix this problem is reduce a bit it's spawn but make them still spawn in packs of 2 or 3; and increasing their building speed and capacity, making them to have a bigger attraction to crafted blocks. Make them real house grieffers!!! survival means survival, creeps should have a way to enter your house that's creepy and make a real survival game. CREATE A NEED OF MAKING MOB TRAPS TO PLAYERS, IT'S SURVIVAL!!!
Love your work guys, and thank you for minecraft,

That has got to be the dumbest idea ever... (no offence meant). They already are annoying as hell with their destruction on some blocks... If they get attracted to crafted blocks (which is actually a glitch that they pick up placed blocks in the first place) then I'll quit MC...

That would be awesome. And yeah, they need twice the health. And then they pick you up and you have to smack them once or twice to drop you =/
Don't worry Notch changed that for 1.9
