The Golden Joystick Awards - an annual award ceremony in which gamers vote on the best computer and video games of the year - recently mentioned Minecraft, citing it as the winner for best downloadable game! This is certainly exciting news for Mojang, as their incredible indie sandbox builder game continues to build momentum leading up to its official launch date in November.
Minecraft has certainly made a huge entrance into the gaming scene, selling over 3 million copies and netting over 15 million registered users while still in beta. Showing no signs of slowing down, this amazing game continues to update, improve and draw in new players every day.
