This is amazing. I love the ideas. The dragon looks fantastic as well. However it destroys way to much. The endermen already move blocks, and thats kinda annoying already. But this would be horrific, It would just tear up the world, and most likely your house.
Hey is it just me or was that a new ore at 1:30? You can see it under the coal. I thought it was iron at first but it's too pale. Unless Notch is retexturing iron to not be orange-ish. I'm loving the dragons, and wondering if Notch is wearing diamond gloves...
I seez it. Hmm, interesting. There is a possibility though that due to the low quality of the video and the fact that he is sprinting, its just kind of blending with the stone a bit. But if it IS a new ore, WIN.
I don't see why we can't have a version of the dragon in the main world, just remove that ability to go though objects. I'm sure an ai could be made to have it not come with in X amount of spaces from solid blocks so it would just be flying.
It would be so epic to ride them, but is there anything to ride them for? Notch, since he's making it more RPG, should maybe add special, super evil mobs (not the endermen, I'm going to add back story) in strongholds and dragons can be used for the fight. However, maybe for that the above ground stronghold should just be an entrance to dimension with this massive evil fortress in the sky that you enter and fight the evil king in.
Back story:
Endrakes(my new name for them):The mature form of Endermen. Endermen are incredibly weak in their terms, and yet for us, they are impossibly strong. In the End, though, they are only the young. They come from the end of the universe(more on that later), where they are the last surviving race of beings. Endermen came to our realm using time travel to stem their growth and get time to save the universe. The endrakes are incapable of this, however. Endermen have no decency, and will do anything to save the universe. They have slowed reflexes of the endrakes, a purposeful weakness they have given themselves, so that they, hopefully, don't end the universe sooner by rampaging in a weaker time and realm.
The End: The End is the end of the universe, caused by an oversupply of dark energy from the Sky Kingdom. In his foolishness, the evil emperor of the Skylands attempted to use the Endorb on its last day of existence to give himself infinite power. Instead, his body was disintegrated, and he became the reincarnation of the demon End, who was once defeated by the Men, who were his slaves, but this time, he can't be stopped by the much weaker empire of Men. The end of the universe tainted them, and made them the endermen, unable to control their evil instincts. They are the embodiment of all that is evil. They retained their intelligence, however, and traveled through time to our world, where they hope to find a way to stop End.
The Sky Kingdom/Skylands: The strongholds of our world are simply minuscule entrances to the massive Sky Kingdom, ruled by the Emperor of Darkness (I dunno, maybe a super boss mob? Maybe with generals you fight at strongholds). He is a tyrant who tries to get so much power that he can become god. In our time, we may be able to defeat him before he uses the Endorb and causes End to be released.
Our World: Our world is a primitive, weak dimension. However, it holds all the potential of the universe. We, the original Men, have forgotten our origins. Slowly, especially after the return of the Endermen, we have regained knowledge of our past. Our knowledge of the alchemy and enchanting we once had is now returning, and if we become strong enough, we may destroy the Emperor, stop End permanently, and keep our realm alive. The Endermen will once again become normal men. Also-if Endrakes enter our realm, they become more docile. Man has ways to tame them,and if he can bring them back, they will be a powerful weapon.
Now that I'm done with lore: How EPIC would it be to sit on a dragon, seeing its wings flap, and DO A BARREL ROLL on it. That was never expected of MC.
Finally: SPC. Dragons. 10. Ride one to fight the rest. SO MUCH BETTER THAN GHAST FIGHTING.
