You're still paying to send the letter with a stamp so you are actually required to make a purchase to enter. Whether it be $0.37 or $15(how ever much premiusless is) you're still paying for something out of you're pocket.
Making sure all the angry above posters see this.

Need more space for my sig and if i helped you then be sure to press the green + button near the right corner of my post,it's like saying thanks but better :D.
A lot of you need to calm down.
There are some large legal hoops to jump through to host sweepstakes world-wide due to all the various laws. (Notice they couldn't even let people in the state of Massachusetts enter either.) It's much more possible for a smaller company to only host it in the country they're based in.
Yeah it sucks, but I doubt Curse twirled their sinister mustaches and did it intentionally to screw over people. If you rage over something small like this, you're going to have lots of issues when actual bad things happen in your life.
And as others have stated, like pretty much every sweepstakes you can send in a mail entry if you don't want to make a purchase. Yeah you have to pay a small amount of postage for a little card, but it's still not the company making a profit.
Lol how people are saying that it sucks that only U.S. residents can enter. Guess where Minecon is at? Anyone? No? I'll tell you. IN LAS VEGAS, NEVADA, U.S.
There now quit bitching. Looks really fun might just do it.
Yep this sucks its not for anyone besides U.S residents and you have to have a credit card.. worst contest ever. I don't really care thought I just got back from a trip to Vegas, to many foreigners there already without mine-con.
Wtf this contest IS terrible. You need to pay for premium curse membership and even then you must be American, And lets go an extra step you cant live In Massachusetts.
I've never seen ads on any curse-powered site and I'm not in US. Maybe ads are US-only, that would actually make sense to make premium-account-based contest only for US residents.
Yes, it is illegal to charge money to enter a contest like this. They get around this the same way most sweepstakes do, by including the disclaimer (posted a few times now) that gives you a stupidly inconvenient way to enter for free.
Regardless, this is just an obvious cash-grab by curse to try to increase the number of (useless) paid memberships. For those outside the US that are bitching about not being able to enter, trust me, you aren't missing anything.
I think the Grand Prize winner should be able to remove a few of the 349348384 sub forums on this site and make minecraftforums.net great like it used to be.

I'd totally pay a membership if it was worldwide :angry.gif:
Thanks for the key, Stephen!

Yeah no thanks.
Snail Mail is not free. I pay my bills in person, so I do not need envelopes or stamps.
